jacob <GEN25 -26> And after that came his brother out, and his
hand
took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called {Jacob}: and
Isaac
[was] threescore years old when she bare them.
jacob <GEN25 -27> And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning
hunter,
a man of the field; and {Jacob} [was] a plain man, dwelling in
tents.
jacob <GEN25 -28> And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of
[his]
venison: but Rebekah loved {Jacob}.
jacob <GEN25 -29> And {Jacob} sod pottage: and Esau came from the
field, and he [was] faint:
jacob <GEN25 -30> And Esau said to {Jacob}, Feed me, I pray thee,
with that same red [pottage]; for I [am] faint: therefore was his
name called Edom.
jacob <GEN25 -31> And {Jacob} said, Sell me this day thy
birthright.
jacob <GEN25 -33> And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he
sware
unto him: and he sold his birthright unto {Jacob}.
jacob <GEN25 -33> And {Jacob} said, Swear to me this day; and he
sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.
jacob <GEN25 -34> Then {Jacob} gave Esau bread and pottage of
lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his
way:
thus Esau despised [his] birthright.
jacob <GEN27 -6> And Rebekah spake unto {Jacob} her son, saying,
Behold, I heard thy father speak unto Esau thy brother, saying,
jacob <GEN27 -11> And {Jacob} said to Rebekah his mother, Behold,
Esau my brother [is] a hairy man, and I [am] a smooth man:
jacob <GEN27 -15> And Rebekah took goodly raiment of her eldest
son
Esau, which [were] with her in the house, and put them upon
{Jacob}
her younger son:
jacob <GEN27 -17> And she gave the savoury meat and the bread,
which
she had prepared, into the hand of her son {Jacob}.
jacob <GEN27 -19> And {Jacob} said unto his father, I [am] Esau
thy
firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray
thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.
jacob <GEN27 -21> And Isaac said unto {Jacob}, Come near, I pray
thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou [be] my very son
Esau or not.
jacob <GEN27 -22> And {Jacob} went near unto Isaac his father;
and
he felt him, and said, The voice [is] Jacob's voice, but the
hands
[are] the hands of Esau.
jacob <GEN27 -30> And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made
an
end of blessing Jacob, and {Jacob} was yet scarce gone out from
the
presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from
his
hunting.
jacob <GEN27 -30> And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made
an
end of blessing {Jacob}, and Jacob was yet scarce gone out from
the
presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from
his
hunting.
jacob <GEN27 -36> And he said, Is not he rightly named {Jacob}?
for
he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my
birthright;
and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said,
Hast
thou not reserved a blessing for me?
jacob <GEN27 -41> And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing
wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The
days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my
brother {Jacob}.
jacob <GEN27 -41> And Esau hated {Jacob} because of the blessing
wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The
days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my
brother Jacob.
jacob <GEN27 -42> And these words of Esau her elder son were
told to
Rebekah: and she sent and called {Jacob} her younger son, and
said
unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth
comfort
himself, [purposing] to kill thee.
jacob <GEN27 -46> And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my
life
because of the daughters of Heth: if {Jacob} take a wife of the
daughters of Heth, such as these [which are] of the daughters of
the
land, what good shall my life do me?
jacob <GEN28 -1> And Isaac called {Jacob}, and blessed him, and
charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the
daughters of Canaan.
jacob <GEN28 -5> And Isaac sent away {Jacob}: and he went to
Padanaram unto Laban, son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of
Rebekah, Jacob's and Esau's mother.
jacob <GEN28 -6> When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed {Jacob},
and
sent him away to Padanaram, to take him a wife from thence; and
that
as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not
take
a wife of the daughters of Canaan;
jacob <GEN28 -7> And that {Jacob} obeyed his father and his
mother,
and was gone to Padanaram;
jacob <GEN28 -10> And {Jacob} went out from Beersheba, and went
toward Haran.
jacob <GEN28 -16> And {Jacob} awaked out of his sleep, and he
said,
Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew [it] not.
jacob <GEN28 -18> And {Jacob} rose up early in the morning, and
took
the stone that he had put [for] his pillows, and set it up [for]
a
pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.
jacob <GEN28 -20> And {Jacob} vowed a vow, saying, If God will be
with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me
bread to eat, and raiment to put on,
jacob <GEN29 -1> Then {Jacob} went on his journey, and came into
the
land of the people of the east.
jacob <GEN29 -4> And {Jacob} said unto them, My brethren, whence
[be] ye? And they said, Of Haran [are] we.
jacob <GEN29 -10> And it came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the
daughter of Laban his mother's brother, and the sheep of Laban
his
mother's brother, that {Jacob} went near, and rolled the stone
from
the well's mouth, and watered the flock of Laban his mo
ther's brother.
jacob <GEN29 -10> And it came to pass, when {Jacob} saw Rachel
the
daughter of Laban his mother's brother, and the sheep of Laban
his
mother's brother, that Jacob went near, and rolled the stone from
the well's mouth, and watered the flock of Laban his mo
ther's brother.
jacob <GEN29 -11> And {Jacob} kissed Rachel, and lifted up his
voice, and wept.
jacob <GEN29 -12> And {Jacob} told Rachel that he [was] her
father's
brother, and that he [was] Rebekah's son: and she ran and told
her
father.
jacob <GEN29 -13> And it came to pass, when Laban heard the
tidings
of {Jacob} his sister's son, that he ran to meet him, and
embraced
him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house. And he told
Laban
all these things.
jacob <GEN29 -15> And Laban said unto {Jacob}, Because thou
[art] my
brother, shouldest thou therefore serve me for nought? tell me,
what
[shall] thy wages [be]?
jacob <GEN29 -18> And {Jacob} loved Rachel; and said, I will
serve
thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter.
jacob <GEN29 -20> And {Jacob} served seven years for Rachel; and
they seemed unto him [but] a few days, for the love he had to
her.
jacob <GEN29 -21> And {Jacob} said unto Laban, Give [me] my wife,
for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her.
jacob <GEN29 -28> And {Jacob} did so, and fulfilled her week:
and he
gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.
jacob <GEN30 -1> And when Rachel saw that she bare Jacob no
children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto {Jacob}, Give
me
children, or else I die.
jacob <GEN30 -1> And when Rachel saw that she bare {Jacob} no
children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto Jacob, Give me
children, or else I die.
jacob <GEN30 -4> And she gave him Bilhah her handmaid to wife:
and
{Jacob} went in unto her.
jacob <GEN30 -5> And Bilhah conceived, and bare {Jacob} a son.
jacob <GEN30 -7> And Bilhah Rachel's maid conceived again, and
bare
{Jacob} a second son.
jacob <GEN30 -9> When Leah saw that she had left bearing, she
took
Zilpah her maid, and gave her {Jacob} to wife.
jacob <GEN30 -10> And Zilpah Leah's maid bare {Jacob} a son.
jacob <GEN30 -12> And Zilpah Leah's maid bare {Jacob} a second
son.
jacob <GEN30 -16> And {Jacob} came out of the field in the
evening,
and Leah went out to meet him, and said, Thou must come in unto
me;
for surely I have hired thee with my son's mandrakes. And he lay
with her that night.
jacob <GEN30 -17> And God hearkened unto Leah, and she conceived,
and bare {Jacob} the fifth son.
jacob <GEN30 -19> And Leah conceived again, and bare {Jacob} the
sixth son.
jacob <GEN30 -25> And it came to pass, when Rachel had born
Joseph,
that {Jacob} said unto Laban, Send me away, that I may go unto
mine
own place, and to my country.
jacob <GEN30 -31> And he said, What shall I give thee? And
{Jacob}
said, Thou shalt not give me any thing: if thou wilt do this
thing
for me, I will again feed [and] keep thy flock.
jacob <GEN30 -36> And he set three days' journey betwixt himself
and
{Jacob}: and Jacob fed the rest of Laban's flocks.
jacob <GEN30 -36> And he set three days' journey betwixt himself
and
Jacob: and {Jacob} fed the rest of Laban's flocks.
jacob <GEN30 -37> And {Jacob} took him rods of green poplar, and
of
the hazel and chestnut tree; and pilled white streaks in them,
and
made the white appear which [was] in the rods.
jacob <GEN30 -40> And {Jacob} did separate the lambs, and set the
faces of the flocks toward the ringstreaked, and all the brown in
the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and
put
them not unto Laban's cattle.
jacob <GEN30 -41> And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger
cattle did conceive, that {Jacob} laid the rods before the eyes
of
the cattle in the gutters, that they might conceive among the
rods.
jacob <GEN31 -1> And he heard the words of Laban's sons, saying,
{Jacob} hath taken away all that [was] our father's; and of
[that]
which [was] our father's hath he gotten all this glory.
jacob <GEN31 -2> And {Jacob} beheld the countenance of Laban,
and,
behold, it [was] not toward him as before.
jacob <GEN31 -3> And the LORD said unto {Jacob}, Return unto the
land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee.
jacob <GEN31 -4> And {Jacob} sent and called Rachel and Leah to
the
field unto his flock,
jacob <GEN31 -11> And the angel of God spake unto me in a dream,
[saying], {Jacob}: And I said, Here [am] I.
jacob <GEN31 -17> Then {Jacob} rose up, and set his sons and his
wives upon camels;
jacob <GEN31 -20> And {Jacob} stole away unawares to Laban the
Syrian, in that he told him not that he fled.
jacob <GEN31 -22> And it was told Laban on the third day that
{Jacob} was fled.
jacob <GEN31 -24> And God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream by
night, and said unto him, Take heed that thou speak not to
{Jacob}
either good or bad.
jacob <GEN31 -25> Then Laban overtook {Jacob}. Now Jacob had
pitched
his tent in the mount: and Laban with his brethren pitched in the
mount of Gilead.
jacob <GEN31 -25> Then Laban overtook Jacob. Now {Jacob} had
pitched
his tent in the mount: and Laban with his brethren pitched in the
mount of Gilead.
jacob <GEN31 -26> And Laban said to {Jacob}, What hast thou done,
that thou hast stolen away unawares to me, and carried away my
daughters, as captives [taken] with the sword?
jacob <GEN31 -29> It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt:
but
the God of your father spake unto me yesternight, saying, Take
thou
heed that thou speak not to {Jacob} either good or bad.
jacob <GEN31 -31> And {Jacob} answered and said to Laban,
Because I
was afraid: for I said, Peradventure thou wouldest take by force
thy
daughters from me.
jacob <GEN31 -32> With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let him
not
live: before our brethren discern thou what [is] thine with me,
and
take [it] to thee. For {Jacob} knew not that Rachel had stolen
them.
jacob <GEN31 -36> And Jacob was wroth, and chided with Laban: and
{Jacob} answered and said to Laban, What [is] my trespass? what
[is]
my sin, that thou hast so hotly pursued after me?
jacob <GEN31 -36> And {Jacob} was wroth, and chided with Laban:
and
Jacob answered and said to Laban, What [is] my trespass? what
[is]
my sin, that thou hast so hotly pursued after me?
jacob <GEN31 -43> And Laban answered and said unto {Jacob},
[These]
daughters [are] my daughters, and [these] children [are] my
children, and [these] cattle [are] my cattle, and all that thou
seest [is] mine: and what can I do this day unto these my daugh
ters, or unto their children which they have born?
jacob <GEN31 -45> And {Jacob} took a stone, and set it up [for] a
pillar.
jacob <GEN31 -46> And {Jacob} said unto his brethren, Gather
stones;
and they took stones, and made an heap: and they did eat there
upon
the heap.
jacob <GEN31 -47> And Laban called it Jegarsahadutha: but {Jacob}
called it Galeed.
jacob <GEN31 -51> And Laban said to {Jacob}, Behold this heap,
and
behold [this] pillar, which I have cast betwixt me and thee;
jacob <GEN31 -53> The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor, the
God
of their father, judge betwixt us. And {Jacob} sware by the fear
of
his father Isaac.
jacob <GEN31 -54> Then {Jacob} offered sacrifice upon the mount,
and
called his brethren to eat bread: and they did eat bread, and
tarried all night in the mount.
jacob <GEN32 -1> And {Jacob} went on his way, and the angels of
God
met him.
jacob <GEN32 -2> And when {Jacob} saw them, he said, This [is]
God's
host: and he called the name of that place Mahanaim.
jacob <GEN32 -3> And {Jacob} sent messengers before him to Esau
his
brother unto the land of Seir, the country of Edom.
jacob <GEN32 -4> And he commanded them, saying, Thus shall ye
speak
unto my lord Esau; Thy servant {Jacob} saith thus, I have
sojourned
with Laban, and stayed there until now:
jacob <GEN32 -6> And the messengers returned to {Jacob}, saying,
We
came to thy brother Esau, and also he cometh to meet thee, and
four
hundred men with him.
jacob <GEN32 -7> Then {Jacob} was greatly afraid and distressed:
and
he divided the people that [was] with him, and the flocks, and
herds, and the camels, into two bands;
jacob <GEN32 -9> And {Jacob} said, O God of my father Abraham,
and
God of my father Isaac, the LORD which saidst unto me, Return
unto
thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee:
jacob <GEN32 -20> And say ye moreover, Behold, thy servant
{Jacob}
[is] behind us. For he said, I will appease him with the present
that goeth before me, and afterward I will see his face;
peradventure he will accept of me.
jacob <GEN32 -24> And {Jacob} was left alone; and there wrestled
a
man with him until the breaking of the day.
jacob <GEN32 -27> And he said unto him, What [is] thy name? And
he
said, {Jacob}.
jacob <GEN32 -28> And he said, Thy name shall be called no more
{Jacob}, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and
with men, and hast prevailed.
jacob <GEN32 -29> And {Jacob} asked [him], and said, Tell [me], I
pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore [is] it [that] thou
dost
ask after my name? And he blessed him there.
jacob <GEN32 -30> And {Jacob} called the name of the place
Peniel:
for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.
jacob <GEN33 -1> And {Jacob} lifted up his eyes, and looked, and,
behold, Esau came, and with him four hundred men. And he divided
the
children unto Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaids.
jacob <GEN33 -10> And {Jacob} said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I
have
found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for
therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of
God, and thou wast pleased with me.
jacob <GEN33 -17> And {Jacob} journeyed to Succoth, and built
him an
house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the
place is called Succoth.
jacob <GEN33 -18> And {Jacob} came to Shalem, a city of Shechem,
which [is] in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padanaram;
and
pitched his tent before the city.
jacob <GEN34 -1> And Dinah the daughter of Leah, which she bare
unto
{Jacob}, went out to see the daughters of the land.
jacob <GEN34 -3> And his soul clave unto Dinah the daughter of
{Jacob}, and he loved the damsel, and spake kindly unto the
damsel.
jacob <GEN34 -5> And Jacob heard that he had defiled Dinah his
daughter: now his sons were with his cattle in the field: and
{Jacob} held his peace until they were come.
jacob <GEN34 -5> And {Jacob} heard that he had defiled Dinah his
daughter: now his sons were with his cattle in the field: and
Jacob
held his peace until they were come.
jacob <GEN34 -6> And Hamor the father of Shechem went out unto
{Jacob} to commune with him.
jacob <GEN34 -7> And the sons of {Jacob} came out of the field
when
they heard [it]: and the men were grieved, and they were very
wroth,
because he had wrought folly in Israel in lying with Jacob's
daughter; which thing ought not to be done.
jacob <GEN34 -13> And the sons of {Jacob} answered Shechem and
Hamor
his father deceitfully, and said, because he had defiled Dinah
their
sister:
jacob <GEN34 -25> And it came to pass on the third day, when they
were sore, that two of the sons of {Jacob}, Simeon and Levi,
Dinah's
brethren, took each man his sword, and came upon the city boldly,
and slew all the males.
jacob <GEN34 -27> The sons of {Jacob} came upon the slain, and
spoiled the city, because they had defiled their sister.
jacob <GEN34 -30> And {Jacob} said to Simeon and Levi, Ye have
troubled me to make me to stink among the inhabitants of the
land,
among the Canaanites and the Perizzites: and I [being] few in
number, they shall gather themselves together against me, and s
lay me; and I shall be destroyed, I and my house.
jacob <GEN35 -1> And God said unto {Jacob}, Arise, go up to
Bethel,
and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared
unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.
jacob <GEN35 -2> Then {Jacob} said unto his household, and to all
that [were] with him, Put away the strange gods that [are] among
you, and be clean, and change your garments:
jacob <GEN35 -4> And they gave unto {Jacob} all the strange gods
which [were] in their hand, and [all their] earrings which
[were] in
their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which [was] by
Shechem.
jacob <GEN35 -4> And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods
which
[were] in their hand, and [all their] earrings which [were] in
their
ears; and {Jacob} hid them under the oak which [was] by Shechem.
jacob <GEN35 -5> And they journeyed: and the terror of God was
upon
the cities that [were] round about them, and they did not pursue
after the sons of {Jacob}.
jacob <GEN35 -6> So {Jacob} came to Luz, which [is] in the land
of
Canaan, that [is], Bethel, he and all the people that [were] with
him.
jacob <GEN35 -9> And God appeared unto {Jacob} again, when he
came
out of Padanaram, and blessed him.
jacob <GEN35 -10> And God said unto him, Thy name [is] Jacob: thy
name shall not be called any more {Jacob}, but Israel shall be
thy
name: and he called his name Israel.
jacob <GEN35 -10> And God said unto him, Thy name [is] {Jacob}:
thy
name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy
name: and he called his name Israel.
jacob <GEN35 -14> And {Jacob} set up a pillar in the place where
he
talked with him, [even] a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink
offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon.
jacob <GEN35 -15> And {Jacob} called the name of the place where
God
spake with him, Bethel.
jacob <GEN35 -20> And {Jacob} set a pillar upon her grave: that
[is]
the pillar of Rachel's grave unto this day.
jacob <GEN35 -22> And it came to pass, when Israel dwelt in that
land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father's
concubine:
and Israel heard [it]. Now the sons of {Jacob} were twelve:
jacob <GEN35 -26> And the sons of Zilpah, Leah's handmaid; Gad,
and
Asher: these [are] the sons of {Jacob}, which were born to him in
Padanaram.
jacob <GEN35 -27> And {Jacob} came unto Isaac his father unto
Mamre,
unto the city of Arbah, which [is] Hebron, where Abraham and
Isaac
sojourned.
jacob <GEN35 -29> And Isaac gave up the ghost, and died, and was
gathered unto his people, [being] old and full of days: and his
sons
Esau and {Jacob} buried him.
jacob <GEN36 -6> And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his
daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and
all
his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land
of
Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his
brother {Jacob}.
jacob <GEN37 -1> And {Jacob} dwelt in the land wherein his father
was a stranger, in the land of Canaan.
jacob <GEN37 -2> These [are] the generations of {Jacob}. Joseph,
[being] seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his
brethren; and the lad [was] with the sons of Bilhah, and with the
sons of Zilpah, his father's wives: and Joseph brought unto his
father their evil report.
jacob <GEN37 -34> And {Jacob} rent his clothes, and put sackcloth
upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days.
jacob <GEN42 -1> Now when {Jacob} saw that there was corn in
Egypt,
Jacob said unto his sons, Why do ye look one upon another?
jacob <GEN42 -1> Now when Jacob saw that there was corn in Egypt,
{Jacob} said unto his sons, Why do ye look one upon another?
jacob <GEN42 -4> But Benjamin, Joseph's brother, {Jacob} sent not
with his brethren; for he said, Lest peradventure mischief befall
him.
jacob <GEN42 -29> And they came unto {Jacob} their father unto
the
land of Canaan, and told him all that befell unto them; saying,
jacob <GEN42 -36> And {Jacob} their father said unto them, Me
have
ye bereaved [of my children]: Joseph [is] not, and Simeon [is]
not,
and ye will take Benjamin [away]: all these things are against
me.
jacob <GEN45 -25> And they went up out of Egypt, and came into
the
land of Canaan unto {Jacob} their father,
jacob <GEN45 -27> And they told him all the words of Joseph,
which
he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph
had
sent to carry him, the spirit of {Jacob} their father revived:
jacob <GEN46 -2> And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the
night, and said, Jacob, {Jacob}. And he said, Here [am] I.
jacob <GEN46 -2> And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the
night, and said, {Jacob}, Jacob. And he said, Here [am] I.
jacob <GEN46 -5> And Jacob rose up from Beersheba: and the sons
of
Israel carried {Jacob} their father, and their little ones, and
their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
jacob <GEN46 -5> And {Jacob} rose up from Beersheba: and the
sons of
Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and
their
wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
jacob <GEN46 -6> And they took their cattle, and their goods,
which
they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt,
{Jacob},
and all his seed with him:
jacob <GEN46 -8> And these [are] the names of the children of
Israel, which came into Egypt, {Jacob} and his sons: Reuben,
Jacob's
firstborn.
jacob <GEN46 -15> These [be] the sons of Leah, which she bare
unto
{Jacob} in Padanaram, with his daughter Dinah: all the souls of
his
sons and his daughters [were] thirty and three.
jacob <GEN46 -18> These [are] the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban
gave to
Leah his daughter, and these she bare unto {Jacob}, [even]
sixteen
souls.
jacob <GEN46 -22> These [are] the sons of Rachel, which were
born to
{Jacob}: all the souls [were] fourteen.
jacob <GEN46 -25> These [are] the sons of Bilhah, which Laban
gave
unto Rachel his daughter, and she bare these unto {Jacob}: all
the
souls [were] seven.
jacob <GEN46 -26> All the souls that came with {Jacob} into
Egypt,
which came out of his loins, besides Jacob's sons' wives, all the
souls [were] threescore and six;
jacob <GEN46 -27> And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in
Egypt, [were] two souls: all the souls of the house of {Jacob},
which came into Egypt, [were] threescore and ten.
jacob <GEN47 -7> And Joseph brought in {Jacob} his father, and
set
him before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.
jacob <GEN47 -7> And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set
him
before Pharaoh: and {Jacob} blessed Pharaoh.
jacob <GEN47 -8> And Pharaoh said unto {Jacob}, How old [art]
thou?
jacob <GEN47 -9> And {Jacob} said unto Pharaoh, The days of the
years of my pilgrimage [are] an hundred and thirty years: few and
evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not
attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers i
n the days of their pilgrimage.
jacob <GEN47 -10> And {Jacob} blessed Pharaoh, and went out from
before Pharaoh.
jacob <GEN47 -28> And {Jacob} lived in the land of Egypt
seventeen
years: so the whole age of Jacob was an hundred forty and seven
years.
jacob <GEN47 -28> And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen
years: so the whole age of {Jacob} was an hundred forty and seven
years.
jacob <GEN48 -2> And [one] told {Jacob}, and said, Behold, thy
son
Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat
upon the bed.
jacob <GEN48 -3> And {Jacob} said unto Joseph, God Almighty
appeared
unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,
jacob <GEN49 -1> And {Jacob} called unto his sons, and said,
Gather
yourselves together, that I may tell you [that] which shall
befall
you in the last days.
jacob <GEN49 -2> Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of
{Jacob}; and hearken unto Israel your father.
jacob <GEN49 -7> Cursed [be] their anger, for [it was] fierce;
and
their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in {Jacob}, and
scatter them in Israel.
jacob <GEN49 -24> But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of
his
hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty [God] of
{Jacob};
(from thence [is] the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)
jacob <GEN49 -33> And when {Jacob} had made an end of commanding
his
sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the
ghost, and was gathered unto his people.
jacob <GEN50 -24> And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and
God
will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the
land
which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to {Jacob}.
jacob <EXO1 -1> Now these [are] the names of the children of
Israel,
which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with
{Jacob}.
jacob <EXO1 -5> And all the souls that came out of the loins of
{Jacob} were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt [already].
jacob <EXO2 -24> And God heard their groaning, and God remembered
his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with {Jacob}.
jacob <EXO3 -6> Moreover he said, I [am] the God of thy father,
the
God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of {Jacob}. And
Moses
hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
jacob <EXO3 -15> And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt
thou
say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers,
the
God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of {Jacob}, hath
sent
me unto you: this [is] my name for ever, and this [is
] my memorial unto all generations.
jacob <EXO3 -16> Go, and gather the elders of Israel together,
and
say unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham,
of
Isaac, and of {Jacob}, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely
visited you, and [seen] that which is done to you in Egyp
t:
jacob <EXO4 -5> That they may believe that the LORD God of their
fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of
{Jacob}, hath appeared unto thee.
jacob <EXO6 -3> And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto
{Jacob}, by [the name of] God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH
was I
not known to them.
jacob <EXO6 -8> And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning
the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to
{Jacob}; and I will give it you for an heritage: I [am] the LORD.
jacob <EXO19 -3> And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called
unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the
house of {Jacob}, and tell the children of Israel;
jacob <EXO33 -1> And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart, [and] go
up
hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the
land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to
Isaac,
and to {Jacob}, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:
jacob <LEV26 -42> Then will I remember my covenant with {Jacob},
and
also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham
will
I remember; and I will remember the land.
jacob <NUM23 -7> And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the
king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of
the
east, [saying], Come, curse me {Jacob}, and come, defy Israel.
jacob <NUM23 -10> Who can count the dust of {Jacob}, and the
number
of the fourth [part] of Israel? Let me die the death of the
righteous, and let my last end be like his!
jacob <NUM23 -21> He hath not beheld iniquity in {Jacob}, neither
hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God [is] with
him,
and the shout of a king [is] among them.
jacob <NUM23 -23> Surely [there is] no enchantment against
{Jacob},
neither [is there] any divination against Israel: according to
this
time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God
wrought!
jacob <NUM23 -23> Surely [there is] no enchantment against Jacob,
neither [is there] any divination against Israel: according to
this
time it shall be said of {Jacob} and of Israel, What hath God
wrought!
jacob <NUM24 -5> How goodly are thy tents, O {Jacob}, [and] thy
tabernacles, O Israel!
jacob <NUM24 -17> I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold
him,
but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of {Jacob}, and a
Sceptre
shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab,
and
destroy all the children of Sheth.
jacob <NUM24 -19> Out of {Jacob} shall come he that shall have
dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.
jacob <NUM32 -11> Surely none of the men that came up out of
Egypt,
from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I
sware
unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto {Jacob}; because they have not
wholly followed me:
jacob <DEU1 -8> Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and
possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham,
Isaac, and {Jacob}, to give unto them and to their seed after
them.
jacob <DEU6 -10> And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall
have
brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to
Abraham, to Isaac, and to {Jacob}, to give thee great and goodly
cities, which thou buildedst not,
jacob <DEU9 -5> Not for thy righteousness, or for the
uprightness of
thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the
wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out
from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the
LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and {Jacob}.
jacob <DEU9 -27> Remember thy servants, Abraham, Isaac, and
{Jacob};
look not unto the stubbornness of this people, nor to their
wickedness, nor to their sin:
jacob <DEU29 -13> That he may establish thee to day for a people
unto himself, and [that] he may be unto thee a God, as he hath
said
unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to
Isaac, and to {Jacob}.
jacob <DEU30 -20> That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, [and]
that
thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him:
for he [is] thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou
mayest
dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathe
rs, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to {Jacob}, to give them.
jacob <DEU32 -9> For the LORD'S portion [is] his people; {Jacob}
[is] the lot of his inheritance.
jacob <DEU33 -4> Moses commanded us a law, [even] the
inheritance of
the congregation of {Jacob}.
jacob <DEU33 -10> They shall teach {Jacob} thy judgments, and
Israel
thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt
sacrifice upon thine altar.
jacob <DEU33 -28> Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the
fountain of {Jacob} [shall be] upon a land of corn and wine; also
his heavens shall drop down dew.
jacob <DEU34 -4> And the LORD said unto him, This [is] the land
which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto {Jacob}, saying,
I
will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see [it] with
thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.
jacob <JOS24 -4> And I gave unto Isaac {Jacob} and Esau: and I
gave
unto Esau mount Seir, to possess it; but Jacob and his children
went
down into Egypt.
jacob <JOS24 -4> And I gave unto Isaac Jacob and Esau: and I gave
unto Esau mount Seir, to possess it; but {Jacob} and his children
went down into Egypt.
jacob <JOS24 -32> And the bones of Joseph, which the children of
Israel brought up out of Egypt, buried they in Shechem, in a
parcel
of ground which {Jacob} bought of the sons of Hamor the father of
Shechem for an hundred pieces of silver: and it became t
he inheritance of the children of Joseph.
jacob <1SA12 -8> When {Jacob} was come into Egypt, and your
fathers
cried unto the LORD, then the LORD sent Moses and Aaron, which
brought forth your fathers out of Egypt, and made them dwell in
this
place.
jacob <2SA23 -1> Now these [be] the last words of David. David
the
son of Jesse said, and the man [who was] raised up on high, the
anointed of the God of {Jacob}, and the sweet psalmist of Israel,
said,
jacob <1KI18 -31> And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the
number of the tribes of the sons of {Jacob}, unto whom the word
of
the LORD came, saying, Israel shall be thy name:
jacob <2KI13 -23> And the LORD was gracious unto them, and had
compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his
covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and {Jacob}, and would not destroy
them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet.
jacob <2KI17 -34> Unto this day they do after the former manners:
they fear not the LORD, neither do they after their statutes, or
after their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which
the
LORD commanded the children of {Jacob}, whom he named Isr
ael;
jacob <1CH16 -13> O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of
{Jacob}, his chosen ones.
jacob <1CH16 -17> And hath confirmed the same to {Jacob} for a
law,
[and] to Israel [for] an everlasting covenant,
jacob <PSA14 -7> Oh that the salvation of Israel [were come] out
of
Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people,
{Jacob} shall rejoice, [and] Israel shall be glad.
jacob <PSA20 -1> To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The
LORD
hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of {Jacob}
defend thee;
jacob <PSA22 -23> Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the
seed
of {Jacob}, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.
jacob <PSA24 -6> This [is] the generation of them that seek him,
that seek thy face, O {Jacob}. Selah.
jacob <PSA44 -4> Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances
for
{Jacob}.
jacob <PSA46 -7> The LORD of hosts [is] with us; the God of
{Jacob}
[is] our refuge. Selah.
jacob <PSA46 -11> The LORD of hosts [is] with us; the God of
{Jacob}
[is] our refuge. Selah.
jacob <PSA47 -4> He shall choose our inheritance for us, the
excellency of {Jacob} whom he loved. Selah.
jacob <PSA53 -6> Oh that the salvation of Israel [were come] out
of
Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, {Jacob}
shall rejoice, [and] Israel shall be glad.
jacob <PSA59 -13> Consume [them] in wrath, consume [them], that
they
[may] not [be]: and let them know that God ruleth in {Jacob} unto
the ends of the earth. Selah.
jacob <PSA75 -9> But I will declare for ever; I will sing
praises to
the God of {Jacob}.
jacob <PSA76 -6> At thy rebuke, O God of {Jacob}, both the
chariot
and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
jacob <PSA77 -15> Thou hast with [thine] arm redeemed thy people,
the sons of {Jacob} and Joseph. Selah.
jacob <PSA78 -5> For he established a testimony in {Jacob}, and
appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that
they
should make them known to their children:
jacob <PSA78 -21> Therefore the LORD heard [this], and was wroth:
so
a fire was kindled against {Jacob}, and anger also came up
against
Israel;
jacob <PSA78 -71> From following the ewes great with young he
brought him to feed {Jacob} his people, and Israel his
inheritance.
jacob <PSA79 -7> For they have devoured {Jacob}, and laid waste
his
dwelling place.
jacob <PSA81 -1> To the chief Musician upon Gittith, [A Psalm] of
Asaph. Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto
the God of {Jacob}.
jacob <PSA81 -4> For this [was] a statute for Israel, [and] a
law of
the God of {Jacob}.
jacob <PSA84 -8> O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O
God of {Jacob}. Selah.
jacob <PSA85 -1> To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of
Korah. LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast
brought back the captivity of {Jacob}.
jacob <PSA87 -2> The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all
the
dwellings of {Jacob}.
jacob <PSA94 -7> Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither
shall
the God of {Jacob} regard [it].
jacob <PSA99 -4> The king's strength also loveth judgment; thou
dost
establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in
{Jacob}.
jacob <PSA105 -6> O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children
of
{Jacob} his chosen.
jacob <PSA105 -10> And confirmed the same unto {Jacob} for a law,
[and] to Israel [for] an everlasting covenant:
jacob <PSA105 -23> Israel also came into Egypt; and {Jacob}
sojourned in the land of Ham.
jacob <PSA114 -1> When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of
{Jacob} from a people of strange language;
jacob <PSA114 -7> Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the
Lord,
at the presence of the God of {Jacob};
jacob <PSA132 -2> How he sware unto the LORD, [and] vowed unto
the
mighty [God] of {Jacob};
jacob <PSA132 -5> Until I find out a place for the LORD, an
habitation for the mighty [God] of {Jacob}.
jacob <PSA135 -4> For the LORD hath chosen {Jacob} unto himself,
[and] Israel for his peculiar treasure.
jacob <PSA146 -5> Happy [is he] that [hath] the God of {Jacob}
for
his help, whose hope [is] in the LORD his God:
jacob <PSA147 -19> He showeth his word unto {Jacob}, his statutes
and his judgments unto Israel.
jacob <ISA2 -3> And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and
let
us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of
{Jacob}; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in
his
paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the w
ord of the LORD from Jerusalem.
jacob <ISA2 -5> O house of {Jacob}, come ye, and let us walk in
the
light of the LORD.
jacob <ISA2 -6> Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the
house of
{Jacob}, because they be replenished from the east, and [are]
soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in
the
children of strangers.
jacob <ISA8 -17> And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his
face
from the house of {Jacob}, and I will look for him.
jacob <ISA9 -8> The Lord sent a word into {Jacob}, and it hath
lighted upon Israel.
jacob <ISA10 -20> And it shall come to pass in that day, [that]
the
remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of
{Jacob},
shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay
upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
jacob <ISA10 -21> The remnant shall return, [even] the remnant of
{Jacob}, unto the mighty God.
jacob <ISA14 -1> For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will
yet
choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers
shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of
{Jacob}.
jacob <ISA14 -1> For the LORD will have mercy on {Jacob}, and
will
yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the
strangers
shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of
Jacob.
jacob <ISA17 -4> And in that day it shall come to pass, [that]
the
glory of {Jacob} shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh
shall wax lean.
jacob <ISA27 -6> He shall cause them that come of {Jacob} to take
root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the
world
with fruit.
jacob <ISA27 -9> By this therefore shall the iniquity of {Jacob}
be
purged; and this [is] all the fruit to take away his sin; when he
maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are
beaten in
sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.
jacob <ISA29 -22> Therefore thus saith the LORD, who redeemed
Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, {Jacob} shall not now be
ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale.
jacob <ISA29 -22> Therefore thus saith the LORD, who redeemed
Abraham, concerning the house of {Jacob}, Jacob shall not now be
ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale.
jacob <ISA29 -23> But when he seeth his children, the work of
mine
hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and
sanctify the Holy One of {Jacob}, and shall fear the God of
Israel.
jacob <ISA40 -27> Why sayest thou, O {Jacob}, and speakest, O
Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed
over
from my God?
jacob <ISA41 -8> But thou, Israel, [art] my servant, {Jacob}
whom I
have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.
jacob <ISA41 -14> Fear not, thou worm {Jacob}, [and] ye men of
Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the
Holy
One of Israel.
jacob <ISA41 -21> Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth
your strong [reasons], saith the King of {Jacob}.
jacob <ISA42 -24> Who gave {Jacob} for a spoil, and Israel to the
robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for
they
would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his
law.
jacob <ISA43 -1> But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O
{Jacob}, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have
redeemed thee, I have called [thee] by thy name; thou [art] mine.
jacob <ISA43 -22> But thou hast not called upon me, O {Jacob};
but
thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.
jacob <ISA43 -28> Therefore I have profaned the princes of the
sanctuary, and have given {Jacob} to the curse, and Israel to
reproaches.
jacob <ISA44 -1> Yet now hear, O {Jacob} my servant; and Israel,
whom I have chosen:
jacob <ISA44 -2> Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed
thee
from the womb, [which] will help thee; Fear not, O {Jacob}, my
servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.
jacob <ISA44 -5> One shall say, I [am] the LORD's; and another
shall
call [himself] by the name of {Jacob}; and another shall
subscribe
[with] his hand unto the LORD, and surname [himself] by the name
of
Israel.
jacob <ISA44 -21> Remember these, O {Jacob} and Israel; for thou
[art] my servant: I have formed thee; thou [art] my servant: O
Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me.
jacob <ISA44 -23> Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done
[it]:
shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye
mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath
redeemed {Jacob}, and glorified himself in Israel.
jacob <ISA45 -4> For {Jacob} my servant's sake, and Israel mine
elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee,
though thou hast not known me.
jacob <ISA45 -19> I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of
the earth: I said not unto the seed of {Jacob}, Seek ye me in
vain:
I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
jacob <ISA46 -3> Hearken unto me, O house of {Jacob}, and all the
remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne [by me] from the
belly, which are carried from the womb:
jacob <ISA48 -1> Hear ye this, O house of {Jacob}, which are
called
by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of
Judah, which swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of
the
God of Israel, [but] not in truth, nor in righteousness.
jacob <ISA48 -12> Hearken unto me, O {Jacob} and Israel, my
called;
I [am] he; I [am] the first, I also [am] the last.
jacob <ISA48 -20> Go ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the
Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter
it
[even] to the end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed
his
servant {Jacob}.
jacob <ISA49 -5> And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the
womb [to be] his servant, to bring {Jacob} again to him, Though
Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of
the
LORD, and my God shall be my strength.
jacob <ISA49 -6> And he said, It is a light thing that thou
shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of {Jacob}, and to
restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a
light
to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end
of the earth.
jacob <ISA49 -26> And I will feed them that oppress thee with
their
own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as
with
sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD [am] thy
Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of {Jacob}.
jacob <ISA58 -1> Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a
trumpet, and show my people their transgression, and the house of
{Jacob} their sins.
jacob <ISA58 -14> Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD;
and I
will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and
feed
thee with the heritage of {Jacob} thy father: for the mouth of
the
LORD hath spoken [it].
jacob <ISA59 -20> And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto
them
that turn from transgression in {Jacob}, saith the LORD.
jacob <ISA60 -16> Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles,
and
shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the
LORD
[am] thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of {Jacob}.
jacob <ISA65 -9> And I will bring forth a seed out of {Jacob},
and
out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall
inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.
jacob <JER2 -4> Hear ye the word of the LORD, O house of {Jacob},
and all the families of the house of Israel:
jacob <JER5 -20> Declare this in the house of {Jacob}, and
publish
it in Judah, saying,
jacob <JER10 -16> The portion of {Jacob} [is] not like them: for
he
[is] the former of all [things]; and Israel [is] the rod of his
inheritance: The LORD of hosts [is] his name.
jacob <JER10 -25> Pour out thy fury upon the heathen that know
thee
not, and upon the families that call not on thy name: for they
have
eaten up {Jacob}, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have
made
his habitation desolate.
jacob <JER30 -10> Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob,
saith
the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save
thee
from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and
{Jacob} shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet,
and none shall make [him] afraid.
jacob <JER30 -10> Therefore fear thou not, O my servant {Jacob},
saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will
save
thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity;
and
Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet,
and none shall make [him] afraid.
jacob <JER31 -7> For thus saith the LORD; Sing with gladness for
{Jacob}, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish ye,
praise ye, and say, O LORD, save thy people, the remnant of
Israel.
jacob <JER31 -11> For the LORD hath redeemed {Jacob}, and
ransomed
him from the hand of [him that was] stronger than he.
jacob <JER33 -26> Then will I cast away the seed of {Jacob}, and
David my servant, [so] that I will not take [any] of his seed [to
be] rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will
cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
jacob <JER33 -26> Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and
David
my servant, [so] that I will not take [any] of his seed [to be]
rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and {Jacob}: for I will
cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
jacob <JER46 -27> But fear not thou, O my servant {Jacob}, and be
not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar
off,
and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall
return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make [
him] afraid.
jacob <JER46 -27> But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be
not
dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off,
and
thy seed from the land of their captivity; and {Jacob} shall
return,
and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make [
him] afraid.
jacob <JER46 -28> Fear thou not, O {Jacob} my servant, saith the
LORD: for I [am] with thee; for I will make a full end of all the
nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full
end
of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leav
e thee wholly unpunished.
jacob <JER51 -19> The portion of {Jacob} [is] not like them; for
he
[is] the former of all things: and [Israel is] the rod of his
inheritance: the LORD of hosts [is] his name.
jacob <LAM1 -17> Zion spreadeth forth her hands, [and there is]
none
to comfort her: the LORD hath commanded concerning {Jacob},
[that]
his adversaries [should be] round about him: Jerusalem is as a
menstruous woman among them.
jacob <LAM2 -2> The Lord hath swallowed up all the habitations of
{Jacob}, and hath not pitied: he hath thrown down in his wrath
the
strong holds of the daughter of Judah; he hath brought [them]
down
to the ground: he hath polluted the kingdom and the pri
nces thereof.
jacob <LAM2 -3> He hath cut off in [his] fierce anger all the
horn
of Israel: he hath drawn back his right hand from before the
enemy,
and he burned against {Jacob} like a flaming fire, [which]
devoureth
round about.
jacob <EZE20 -5> And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In
the
day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seed of
the house of {Jacob}, and made myself known unto them in the
land of
Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, saying,
I [am] the LORD your God;
jacob <EZE28 -25> Thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall have
gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are
scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the
heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to
my servant {Jacob}.
jacob <EZE37 -25> And they shall dwell in the land that I have
given
unto {Jacob} my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and
they
shall dwell therein, [even] they, and their children, and their
children's children for ever: and my servant David [sha
ll be] their prince for ever.
jacob <EZE39 -25> Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I
bring again the captivity of {Jacob}, and have mercy upon the
whole
house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;
jacob <HOS10 -11> And Ephraim [is as] an heifer [that is] taught,
[and] loveth to tread out [the corn]; but I passed over upon her
fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, [and]
{Jacob} shall break his clods.
jacob <HOS12 -2> The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and
will punish {Jacob} according to his ways; according to his
doings
will he recompense him.
jacob <HOS12 -12> And {Jacob} fled into the country of Syria, and
Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept [sheep].
jacob <AMO3 -13> Hear ye, and testify in the house of {Jacob},
saith
the Lord GOD, the God of hosts,
jacob <AMO6 -8> The Lord GOD hath sworn by himself, saith the
LORD
the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency of {Jacob}, and hate his
palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is
therein.
jacob <AMO7 -2> And it came to pass, [that] when they had made an
end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord GOD,
forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall {Jacob} arise? for he [is]
small.
jacob <AMO7 -5> Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech thee:
by
whom shall {Jacob} arise? for he [is] small.
jacob <AMO8 -7> The LORD hath sworn by the excellency of {Jacob},
Surely I will never forget any of their works.
jacob <AMO9 -8> Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD [are] upon the
sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the
earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of
{Jacob},
saith the LORD.
jacob <OBA1 -10> For [thy] violence against thy brother {Jacob}
shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.
jacob <OBA1 -17> But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and
there
shall be holiness; and the house of {Jacob} shall possess their
possessions.
jacob <OBA1 -18> And the house of {Jacob} shall be a fire, and
the
house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and
they
shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be
[any]
remaining of the house of Esau; for the LORD hath s
poken [it].
jacob <MIC1 -5> For the transgression of Jacob [is] all this, and
for the sins of the house of Israel. What [is] the transgression
of
{Jacob}? [is it] not Samaria? and what [are] the high places of
Judah? [are they] not Jerusalem?
jacob <MIC1 -5> For the transgression of {Jacob} [is] all this,
and
for the sins of the house of Israel. What [is] the transgression
of
Jacob? [is it] not Samaria? and what [are] the high places of
Judah?
[are they] not Jerusalem?
jacob <MIC2 -7> O [thou that art] named the house of {Jacob}, is
the
spirit of the LORD straitened? [are] these his doings? do not my
words do good to him that walketh uprightly?
jacob <MIC2 -12> I will surely assemble, O {Jacob}, all of thee;
I
will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them
together
as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold:
they shall make great noise by reason of [the multitude
of] men.
jacob <MIC3 -1> And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of {Jacob},
and ye princes of the house of Israel; [Is it] not for you to
know
judgment?
jacob <MIC3 -8> But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the
LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto {Jacob} his
transgression, and to Israel his sin.
jacob <MIC3 -9> Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of
{Jacob}, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment,
and pervert all equity.
jacob <MIC4 -2> And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and
let
us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the
God of
{Jacob}; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in
his
paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the
word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
jacob <MIC5 -7> And the remnant of {Jacob} shall be in the midst
of
many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the
grass,
that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.
jacob <MIC5 -8> And the remnant of {Jacob} shall be among the
Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts
of
the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if
he go
through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and n
one can deliver.
jacob <MIC7 -20> Thou wilt perform the truth to {Jacob}, [and]
the
mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the
days of old.
jacob <NAH2 -2> For the LORD hath turned away the excellency of
{Jacob}, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have
emptied
them out, and marred their vine branches.
jacob <MAL1 -2> I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say,
Wherein hast thou loved us? [Was] not Esau Jacob's brother? saith
the LORD: yet I loved {Jacob},
jacob <MAL2 -12> The LORD will cut off the man that doeth this,
the
master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of {Jacob}, and
him
that offereth an offering unto the LORD of hosts.
jacob <MAL3 -6> For I [am] the LORD, I change not; therefore ye
sons
of {Jacob} are not consumed.
jacob <MAT1 -2> Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and
{Jacob} begat Judas and his brethren;
jacob <MAT1 -2> Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat {Jacob}; and
Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;
jacob <MAT1 -15> And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat
Matthan;
and Matthan begat {Jacob};
jacob <MAT1 -16> And {Jacob} begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of
whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
jacob <MAT8 -11> And I say unto you, That many shall come from
the
east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and
{Jacob}, in the kingdom of heaven.
jacob <MAT22 -32> I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac,
and
the God of {Jacob}? God is not the God of the dead, but of the
living.
jacob <MAR12 -26> And as touching the dead, that they rise: have
ye
not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto
him,
saying, I am] the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the
God
of {Jacob}?
jacob <LUK1 -33> And he shall reign over the house of {Jacob} for
ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
jacob <LUK3 -34> Which was the son] of {Jacob}, which was the
son]
of Isaac, which was the son] of Abraham, which was the son] of
Thara, which was the son] of Nachor,
jacob <LUK13 -28> There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth,
when
ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and {Jacob}, and all the
prophets,
in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves] thrust out.
jacob <LUK20 -37> Now that the dead are raised, even Moses
showed at
the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the
God
of Isaac, and the God of {Jacob}.
jacob <JOH4 -5> Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is
called
Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that {Jacob} gave to his son
Joseph.
jacob <JOH4 -12> Art thou greater than our father {Jacob}, which
gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children,
and
his cattle?
jacob <ACT3 -13> The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of
{Jacob},
the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye
delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he
was
determined to let him] go.
jacob <ACT7 -8> And he gave him the covenant of circumcision:
and so
Abraham] begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and
Isaac
begat] Jacob; and {Jacob} begat] the twelve patriarchs.
jacob <ACT7 -8> And he gave him the covenant of circumcision:
and so
Abraham] begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and
Isaac
begat] {Jacob}; and Jacob begat] the twelve patriarchs.
jacob <ACT7 -12> But when {Jacob} heard that there was corn in
Egypt, he sent out our fathers first.
jacob <ACT7 -14> Then sent Joseph, and called his father {Jacob}
to
him], and all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls.
jacob <ACT7 -15> So {Jacob} went down into Egypt, and died, he,
and
our fathers,
jacob <ACT7 -32> Saying], I am] the God of thy fathers, the God
of
Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of {Jacob}. Then Moses
trembled, and durst not behold.
jacob <ACT7 -46> Who found favour before God, and desired to
find a
tabernacle for the God of {Jacob}.
jacob <ROM9 -13> As it is written, {Jacob} have I loved, but Esau
have I hated.
jacob <ROM11 -26> And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is
written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall
turn
away ungodliness from {Jacob}:
jacob <HEB11 -9> By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as
in] a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and
{Jacob}, the heirs with him of the same promise:
jacob <HEB11 -20> By faith Isaac blessed {Jacob} and Esau
concerning
things to come.
jacob <HEB11 -21> By faith {Jacob}, when he was a dying, blessed
both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning] upon the top of
his staff.
