jacob <GEN25 -26> And after that came his brother out, and his

hand

took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called {Jacob}: and

Isaac

[was] threescore years old when she bare them.

a man of the field; and {Jacob} [was] a plain man, dwelling in

thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou [be] my very son

charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the

daughters of Canaan.

Rebekah, Jacob's and Esau's mother.

as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not

a wife of the daughters of Canaan;

toward Haran.

which [was] our father's hath he gotten all this glory.

land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee.

either good or bad.

mount of Gilead.

called it Galeed.

jacob <GEN31 -51> And Laban said to {Jacob}, Behold this heap,

behold [this] pillar, which I have cast betwixt me and thee;

of their father, judge betwixt us. And {Jacob} sware by the fear

ask after my name? And he blessed him there.

Peniel:

for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.

behold, Esau came, and with him four hundred men. And he divided

children unto Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaids.

found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for

therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of

God, and thou wast pleased with me.

house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the

place is called Succoth.

number, they shall gather themselves together against me, and s

lay me; and I shall be destroyed, I and my house.

Bethel,

and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared

unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.

that [were] with him, Put away the strange gods that [are] among

you, and be clean, and change your garments:

jacob <GEN47 -9> And {Jacob} said unto Pharaoh, The days of the

years of my pilgrimage [are] an hundred and thirty years: few and

evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not

attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers i

and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make [

him] afraid.

jacob <JER46 -28> Fear thou not, O {Jacob} my servant, saith the

LORD: for I [am] with thee; for I will make a full end of all the

nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full

end

of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leav

e thee wholly unpunished.

jacob <JER51 -19> The portion of {Jacob} [is] not like them; for

he

[is] the former of all things: and [Israel is] the rod of his

inheritance: the LORD of hosts [is] his name.

jacob <LAM1 -17> Zion spreadeth forth her hands, [and there is]

none

to comfort her: the LORD hath commanded concerning {Jacob},

[that]

his adversaries [should be] round about him: Jerusalem is as a

menstruous woman among them.

jacob <LAM2 -2> The Lord hath swallowed up all the habitations of

{Jacob}, and hath not pitied: he hath thrown down in his wrath

the

strong holds of the daughter of Judah; he hath brought [them]

down

to the ground: he hath polluted the kingdom and the pri

nces thereof.

jacob <LAM2 -3> He hath cut off in [his] fierce anger all the

horn

of Israel: he hath drawn back his right hand from before the

enemy,

and he burned against {Jacob} like a flaming fire, [which]

devoureth

round about.

jacob <EZE20 -5> And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In

the

day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seed of

the house of {Jacob}, and made myself known unto them in the

land of

Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, saying,

 I [am] the LORD your God;

jacob <EZE28 -25> Thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall have

gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are

scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the

heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to

my servant {Jacob}.

jacob <EZE37 -25> And they shall dwell in the land that I have

given

unto {Jacob} my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and

they

shall dwell therein, [even] they, and their children, and their

children's children for ever: and my servant David [sha

ll be] their prince for ever.

jacob <EZE39 -25> Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I

bring again the captivity of {Jacob}, and have mercy upon the

whole

house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;

jacob <HOS10 -11> And Ephraim [is as] an heifer [that is] taught,

[and] loveth to tread out [the corn]; but I passed over upon her

fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, [and]

{Jacob} shall break his clods.

jacob <HOS12 -2> The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and

will punish {Jacob} according to his ways; according to his

doings

will he recompense him.

jacob <HOS12 -12> And {Jacob} fled into the country of Syria, and

Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept [sheep].

jacob <AMO3 -13> Hear ye, and testify in the house of {Jacob},

saith

the Lord GOD, the God of hosts,

jacob <AMO6 -8> The Lord GOD hath sworn by himself, saith the

LORD

the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency of {Jacob}, and hate his

palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is

therein.

jacob <AMO7 -2> And it came to pass, [that] when they had made an

end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord GOD,

forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall {Jacob} arise? for he [is]

small.

jacob <AMO7 -5> Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech thee:

by

whom shall {Jacob} arise? for he [is] small.

jacob <AMO8 -7> The LORD hath sworn by the excellency of {Jacob},

Surely I will never forget any of their works.

jacob <AMO9 -8> Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD [are] upon the

sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the

earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of

{Jacob},

saith the LORD.

jacob <OBA1 -10> For [thy] violence against thy brother {Jacob}

shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.

jacob <OBA1 -17> But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and

there

shall be holiness; and the house of {Jacob} shall possess their

possessions.

jacob <OBA1 -18> And the house of {Jacob} shall be a fire, and

the

house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and

they

shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be

[any]

remaining of the house of Esau; for the LORD hath s

poken [it].

jacob <MIC1 -5> For the transgression of Jacob [is] all this, and

for the sins of the house of Israel. What [is] the transgression

of

{Jacob}? [is it] not Samaria? and what [are] the high places of

Judah? [are they] not Jerusalem?

words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

jacob <MIC2 -12> I will surely assemble, O {Jacob}, all of thee;

I

will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them

together

as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold:

they shall make great noise by reason of [the multitude

of] men.

jacob <MIC3 -1> And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of {Jacob},

and ye princes of the house of Israel; [Is it] not for you to

know

judgment?

jacob <MIC3 -8> But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the

LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto {Jacob} his

transgression, and to Israel his sin.

jacob <MIC3 -9> Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of

{Jacob}, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment,

and pervert all equity.

jacob <MIC4 -2> And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and

let

us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the

God of

{Jacob}; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in

his

paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the

word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

jacob <MIC5 -7> And the remnant of {Jacob} shall be in the midst

of

many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the

grass,

that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.

jacob <MIC5 -8> And the remnant of {Jacob} shall be among the

Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts

of

the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if

he go

through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and n

one can deliver.

jacob <MIC7 -20> Thou wilt perform the truth to {Jacob}, [and]

the

mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the

days of old.

jacob <NAH2 -2> For the LORD hath turned away the excellency of

{Jacob}, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have

them out, and marred their vine branches.
