Wherefore the name of that {place} was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day. place And the ambush arose quickly out of their {place}, and they ran as soon as he had stretched out his hand: and they entered into the city, and took it, and hasted and set the city on fire. place And Joshua made them that day hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation, and for the altar of the LORD, even unto this day, in the {place} which he should choose. place And when he that doth flee unto one of those cities shall stand at the entering of the gate of the city, and shall declare his cause in the ears of the elders of that city, they shall take him into the city unto them, and give him a {plac e}, that he may dwell among them. place And they called the name of that {place} Bochim: and they sacrificed there unto the LORD. place And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered {place}, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down. place And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the [other] people go every man unto his {place}. place And they stood every man in his {place} round about the camp: and all the host ran, and cried, and fled. place And when the men of Israel saw that Abimelech was dead, they departed every man unto his {place}. place And Israel sent messengers unto Sihon king of the Amorites, the king of Heshbon; and Israel said unto him, Let us pass, we pray thee, through thy land into my {place}. place And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking, that he cast away the jawbone out of his hand, and called that {place} Ramathlehi. place But God clave an hollow {place} that [was] in the jaw, and there came water thereout; and when he had drunk, his spirit came again, and he revived: wherefore he called the name thereof Enhakkore, which [is] in Lehi unto this day. place And the man departed out of the city from Bethlehemjudah to sojourn where he could find [a {place}]: and he came to mount Ephraim to the house of Micah, as he journeyed. place And Micah said unto him, Whence comest thou? And he said unto him, I [am] a Levite of Bethlehemjudah, and I go to sojourn where I may find [a {place}]. place When they [were] by the house of Micah, they knew the voice of the young man the Levite: and they turned in thither, and said unto him, Who brought thee hither? and what makest thou in this [{place}]? and what hast thou here? place When ye go, ye shall come unto a people secure, and to a large land: for God hath given it into your hands; a {place} where [there is] no want of any thing that [is] in the earth. place And they went up, and pitched in Kirjathjearim, in Judah: wherefore they called that {place} Mahanehdan unto this day: behold, [it is] behind Kirjathjearim. place And, behold, there came an old man from his work out of the field at even, which [was] also of mount Ephraim; and he sojourned in Gibeah: but the men of the {place} [were] Benjamites. place And he said unto her, Up, and let us be going. But none answered. Then the man took her [up] upon an ass, and the man rose up, and gat him unto his {place}. place And the people the men of Israel encouraged themselves, and set their battle again in array in the {place} where they put themselves in array the first day. place And all the men of Israel rose up out of their {place}, and put themselves in array at Baaltamar: and the liers in wait of Israel came forth out of their places, [even] out of the meadows of Gibeah. place So the children of Benjamin saw that they were smitten: for the men of Israel gave {place} to the Benjamites, because they trusted unto the liers in wait which they had set beside Gibeah. place Then they said, Behold, [there is] a feast of the LORD in Shiloh yearly [in a {place}] which [is] on the north side of Bethel, on the east side of the highway that goeth up from Bethel to Shechem, and on the south of Lebonah. place Wherefore she went forth out of the {place} where she was, and her two daughters in law with her; and they went on the way to return unto the land of Judah. place And it shall be, when he lieth down, that thou shalt mark the {place} where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do. place Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his {place}: ye [are] witnesses this day. place <1SA3 -2> And it came to pass at that time, when Eli [was] laid down in his {place}, and his eyes began to wax dim, [that] he could not see; place <1SA3 -9> Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his {place}. place <1SA5 -3> And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon [was] fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. And they took Dagon, and set him in his {place} again. place <1SA5 -11> So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own {place}, that it slay us not, and our people: for there was a deadly destruction through out all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there. place <1SA6 -2> And the Philistines called for the priests and the diviners, saying, What shall we do to the ark of the LORD? tell us wherewith we shall send it to his {place}. place <1SA9 -12> And they answered them, and said, He is; behold, [he is] before you: make haste now, for he came to day to the city; for [there is] a sacrifice of the people to day in the high {place}: place <1SA9 -13> As soon as ye be come into the city, ye shall straightway find him, before he go up to the high {place} to eat: for the people will not eat until he come, because he doth bless the sacrifice; [and] afterwards they eat that be bidden. Therefore it became a proverb, [Is] Saul also among the prophets? place <1SA10 -13> And when he had made an end of prophesying, he came to the high {place}. place <1SA12 -8> When Jacob was come into Egypt, and your fathers cried unto the LORD, then the LORD sent Moses and Aaron, which brought forth your fathers out of Egypt, and made them dwell in this {place}. place <1SA14 -9> If they say thus unto us, Tarry until we come to you; then we will stand still in our {place}, and will not go up unto them. place <1SA14 -46> Then Saul went up from following the Philistines: and the Philistines went to their own {place}. place <1SA15 -12> And when Samuel rose early to meet Saul in the morning, it was told Samuel, saying, Saul came to Carmel, and, behold, he set him up a {place}, and is gone about, and passed on, and gone down to Gilgal. place <1SA19 -2> But Jonathan Saul's son delighted much in David: and Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeketh to kill thee: now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself until the morning, and abide in a secret [{place}], and hide thyself: place <1SA20 -19> And [when] thou hast stayed three days, [then] thou shalt go down quickly, and come to the {place} where thou didst hide thyself when the business was [in hand], and shalt remain by the stone Ezel. place <1SA20 -25> And the king sat upon his seat, as at other times, [even] upon a seat by the wall: and Jonathan arose, and Abner sat by Saul's side, and David's {place} was empty. place <1SA20 -27> And it came to pass on the morrow, [which was] the second [day] of the month, that David's {place} was empty: and Saul said unto Jonathan his son, Wherefore cometh not the son of Jesse to meat, neither yesterday, nor to day? place <1SA20 -37> And when the lad was come to the {place} of the arrow which Jonathan had shot, Jonathan cried after the lad, and said, [Is] not the arrow beyond thee? place <1SA20 -41> And] as soon as the lad was gone, David arose out of [a {place}] toward the south, and fell on his face to the ground, and bowed himself three times: and they kissed one another, and wept one with another, until David exceeded. place <1SA21 -2> And David said unto Ahimelech the priest, The king hath commanded me a business, and hath said unto me, Let no man know any thing of the business whereabout I send thee, and what I have commanded thee: and I have appointed [my] servants t o such and such a {place}. place <1SA23 -22> Go, I pray you, prepare yet, and know and see his {place} where his haunt is, [and] who hath seen him there: for it is told me [that] he dealeth very subtly. place <1SA23 -28> Wherefore Saul returned from pursuing after David, and went against the Philistines: therefore they called that {place} Selahammahlekoth. place <1SA26 -5> And David arose, and came to the place where Saul had pitched: and David beheld the {place} where Saul lay, and Abner the son of Ner, the captain of his host: and Saul lay in the trench, and the people pitched round about him. place <1SA26 -5> And David arose, and came to the {place} where Saul had pitched: and David beheld the place where Saul lay, and Abner the son of Ner, the captain of his host: and Saul lay in the trench, and the people pitched round about him. place <1SA26 -25> Then Saul said to David, Blessed [be] thou, my son David: thou shalt both do great [things], and also shalt still prevail. [should it] not [be] with the heads of these men? place <2SA2 -16> And they caught every one his fellow by the head, and [thrust] his sword in his fellow's side; so they fell down together: wherefore that {place} was called Helkathhazzurim, which [is] in Gibeon. place <2SA2 -23> Howbeit he refused to turn aside: wherefore Abner with the hinder end of the spear smote him under the fifth [rib], that the spear came out behind him; and he fell down there, and died in the same {place}: and it came to pass, [that] as m any as came to the place where Asahel fell down and died stood still. place <2SA2 -23> Howbeit he refused to turn aside: wherefore Abner with the hinder end of the spear smote him under the fifth [rib], that the spear came out behind him; and he fell down there, and died in the same place: and it came to pass, [that] as man y as came to the {place} where Asahel fell down and died stood still. place <2SA5 -20> And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Again in this {place}, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing [their] flocks to lie down. place My lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the dungeon; and he is like to die for hunger in the {place} where he is: for [there is] no more bread in the city. place And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, The LORD thy God hath pronounced this evil upon this {place}. place For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As mine anger and my fury hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so shall my fury be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into Egypt: and ye shall be an execra tion, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach; and ye shall see this {place} no more. place Now therefore know certainly that ye shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, in the {place} whither ye desire to go [and] to sojourn. place And this [shall be] a sign unto you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this {place}, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil: place Then shalt thou say, O LORD, thou hast spoken against this {place}, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever. place Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, [saying], Blessed [be] the glory of the LORD from his {place}. place Then shall ye know that I [am] the LORD, when their slain [men] shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the {place } where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols. place My face will I turn also from them, and they shall pollute my secret [{place}]: for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it. place When they went, they went upon their four sides; they turned not as they went, but to the {place} whither the head looked they followed it; they turned not as they went. place Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy {place} to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they [be] a rebellious house. place Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy place to another {place} in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they [be] a rebellious house. place That] thou hast also built unto thee an eminent {place}, and hast made thee an high place in every street. place That] thou hast also built unto thee an eminent place, and hast made thee an high {place} in every street. place Thou hast built thy high {place} at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred, and hast opened thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy whoredoms. place In that thou buildest thine eminent {place} in the head of every way, and makest thine high place in every street; and hast not been as an harlot, in that thou scornest hire; place In that thou buildest thine eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thine high {place} in every street; and hast not been as an harlot, in that thou scornest hire; place And I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thine eminent {place}, and shall break down thy high places: they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare. place As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely in the {place} [where] the king [dwelleth] that made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he brake, [even] with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die. place Then I said unto them, What [is] the high {place} whereunto ye go? And the name thereof is called Bamah unto this day. place Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both twain shall come forth out of one land: and choose thou a {place}, choose [it] at the head of the way to the city. place Shall I cause [it] to return into his sheath? I will judge thee in the {place} where thou wast created, in the land of thy nativity. place It shall be [a {place} for] the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea: for I have spoken [it], saith the Lord GOD: and it shall become a spoil to the nations. place And I will make thee like the top of a rock: thou shalt be [a {place}] to spread nets upon; thou shalt be built no more: for I the LORD have spoken [it], saith the Lord GOD. place And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall {place} you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken [it], and performed [it], saith the LORD. place Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will {place} them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. place And thou shalt come from thy {place} out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: place And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] I will give unto Gog a {place} there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the [noses] of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog a nd all his multitude: and they shall call [it] The valley of Hamongog. place So he measured the length thereof, twenty cubits; and the breadth, twenty cubits, before the temple: and he said unto me, This [is] the most holy [{place}]. place The thickness of the wall, which [was] for the side chamber without, [was] five cubits: and [that] which [was] left [was] the {place} of the side chambers that [were] within. place And the doors of the side chambers [were] toward [the place that was] left, one door toward the north, and another door toward the south: and the breadth of the {place} that was left [was] five cubits round about. place And the doors of the side chambers [were] toward [the {place} that was] left, one door toward the north, and another door toward the south: and the breadth of the place that was left [was] five cubits round about. place Now the building that [was] before the separate {place} at the end toward the west [was] seventy cubits broad; and the wall of the building [was] five cubits thick round about, and the length thereof ninety cubits. place So he measured the house, an hundred cubits long; and the separate {place}, and the building, with the walls thereof, an hundred cubits long; place Also the breadth of the face of the house, and of the separate {place} toward the east, an hundred cubits. place And he measured the length of the building over against the separate {place} which [was] behind it, and the galleries thereof on the one side and on the other side, an hundred cubits, with the inner temple, and the porches of the court; place Then he brought me forth into the utter court, the way toward the north: and he brought me into the chamber that [was] over against the separate {place}, and which [was] before the building toward the north. place The chambers [were] in the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, over against the separate {place}, and over against the building. place Then said he unto me, The north chambers [and] the south chambers, which [are] before the separate place, they [be] holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the LORD shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the mos t holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the {place} [is] holy. place Then said he unto me, The north chambers [and] the south chambers, which [are] before the separate {place}, they [be] holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the LORD shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the m ost holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place [is] holy. place When the priests enter therein, then shall they not go out of the holy [{place}] into the utter court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister; for they [are] holy; and shall put on other garments, and shall approac h to [those things] which [are] for the people. place He measured it by the four sides: it had a wall round about, five hundred [reeds] long, and five hundred broad, to make a separation between the sanctuary and the profane {place}. place And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne, and the {place} of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, [neither] th ey, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcases of their kings in their high places. place And he said unto me, Son of man, the {place} of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, [neither] th ey, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcases of their kings in their high places. place And these [are] the measures of the altar after the cubits: The cubit [is] a cubit and an hand breadth; even the bottom [shall be] a cubit, and the breadth a cubit, and the border thereof by the edge thereof round about [shall be] a span : and this [shall be] the higher {place} of the altar. place Thou shalt take the bullock also of the sin offering, and he shall burn it in the appointed {place} of the house, without the sanctuary. place And they shall not come near unto me, to do the office of a priest unto me, nor to come near to any of my holy things, in the most holy [{place}]: but they shall bear their shame, and their abominations which they have committed. place And of this measure shalt thou measure the length of five and twenty thousand, and the breadth of ten thousand: and in it shall be the sanctuary [and] the most holy [{place}]. place The holy [portion] of the land shall be for the priests the ministers of the sanctuary, which shall come near to minister unto the LORD: and it shall be a place for their houses, and an holy {place} for the sanctuary. place The holy [portion] of the land shall be for the priests the ministers of the sanctuary, which shall come near to minister unto the LORD: and it shall be a {place} for their houses, and an holy place for the sanctuary. place After he brought me through the entry, which [was] at the side of the gate, into the holy chambers of the priests, which looked toward the north: and, behold, there [was] a {place} on the two sides westward. place Then said he unto me, This [is] the {place} where the priests shall boil the trespass offering and the sin offering, where they shall bake the meat offering; that they bear [them] not out into the utter court, to sanctify the people. place And it shall come to pass, [that] the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a [{place}] to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many. place And the five thousand, that are left in the breadth over against the five and twenty thousand, shall be a profane [{place}] for the city, for dwelling, and for suburbs: and the city shall be in the midst thereof. place Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no {place} was found for them: and the stone that s mote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth. place Yea, he magnified [himself] even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily [sacrifice] was taken away, and the {place} of his sanctuary was cast down. place And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily [sacrifice], and they shall {place} the abomination that maketh desolate. place Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, [that] in the {place} where it was said unto them, Ye [are] not my people, [there] it shall be sai d unto them, [Ye are] the sons of the living God. place For Israel slideth back as a backsliding heifer: now the LORD will feed them as a lamb in a large {place}. place I will go [and] return to my {place}, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early. place Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, [is] planted in a pleasant {place}: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer. place They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will {place} them in their houses, saith the LORD. place The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he [is] an unwise son; for he should not stay long in [the {place} of] the breaking forth of children. place Behold, I will raise them out of the {place} whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompense upon your own head: place And the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day, saith the Lord GOD: [there shall be] many dead bodies in every {place}; they shall cast [them] forth with silence. place For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his {place}, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth. place And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, [and] as the waters [that are] poured down a steep {place}. place But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the {place} thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies. place Thy crowned [are] as the locusts, and thy captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, [but] when the sun ariseth they flee away, and their {place} is not known where they [are]. place I will also stretch out mine hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this {place}, [and] the name of the Chemarims with the priests; place The LORD [will be] terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and [men] shall worship him, every one from his {place}, [even] all the isles of the heathen. place This [is] the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I [am], and [there is] none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a {place} for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, [and] wag hi s hand. place The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this {place} will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts. place And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name [is] The BRANCH;
