took This our bread we {took} hot [for] our provision out of our houses on the day we came forth to go unto you; but now, behold, it is dry, and it is mouldy: took And the men {took} of their victuals, and asked not [counsel] at the mouth of the LORD. took And it came to pass at the time of the going down of the sun, [that] Joshua commanded, and they {took} them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave wherein they had been hid, and laid great stones in the cave's mouth, [which remai n] until this very day. took And that day Joshua {took} Makkedah, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof he utterly destroyed, them, and all the souls that [were] therein; he let none remain: and he did to the king of Makkedah as he did unto th e king of Jericho. took And the LORD delivered Lachish into the hand of Israel, which {took} it on the second day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that [were] therein, according to all that he had done to Libnah. took And they {took} it on that day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that [were] therein he utterly destroyed that day, according to all that he had done to Lachish. took And they {took} it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof, and all the souls that [were] therein; he left none remaining, according to all that he had done to Eglon; but destroyed it utt erly, and all the souls that [were] therein. took And he {took} it, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof; and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed all the souls that [were] therein; he left none remaining: as he had done to Hebron, so he did to De bir, and to the king thereof; as he had done also to Libnah, and to her king. took And Joshua at that time turned back, and {took} Hazor, and smote the king thereof with the sword: for Hazor beforetime was the head of all those kingdoms. took And all the spoil of these cities, and the cattle, the children of Israel {took} for a prey unto themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them, neither left they any to breathe. took So Joshua {took} all that land, the hills, and all the south country, and all the land of Goshen, and the valley, and the plain, and the mountain of Israel, and the valley of the same; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war. took And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, {took} it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife. took So the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, {took} their inheritance. took And the coast of the children of Dan went out [too little] for them: therefore the children of Dan went up to fight against Leshem, and {took} it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it, and dwelt therein, and called Le shem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father. took And I {took} your father Abraham from the other side of the flood, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his seed, and gave him Isaac. took And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God, and {took} a great stone, and set it up there under an oak, that [was] by the sanctuary of the LORD. took And Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother, {took} it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife. took Also Judah {took} Gaza with the coast thereof, and Askelon with the coast thereof, and Ekron with the coast thereof. took And they {took} their daughters to be their wives, and gave their daughters to their sons, and served their gods. took And Ehud put forth his left hand, and {took} the dagger from his right thigh, and thrust it into his belly: took And they tarried till they were ashamed: and, behold, he opened not the doors of the parlour; therefore they {took} a key, and opened [them]: and, behold, their lord [was] fallen down dead on the earth. took And he said unto them, Follow after me: for the LORD hath delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand. And they went down after him, and {took} the fords of Jordan toward Moab, and suffered not a man to pass over. took Then Jael Heber's wife {took} a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died. took Then Jael Heber's wife took a nail of the tent, and {took} an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died. took The kings came [and] fought, then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they {took} no gain of money. took Then Gideon {took} ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had said unto him: and [so] it was, because he feared his father's household, and the men of the city, that he could not do [it] by day, that he did [it] by night. took So the people {took} victuals in their hand, and their trumpets: and he sent all [the rest of] Israel every man unto his tent, and retained those three hundred men: and the host of Midian was beneath him in the valley. took And Gideon sent messengers throughout all mount Ephraim, saying, Come down against the Midianites, and take before them the waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan. Then all the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and {took} the waters u nto Bethbarah and Jordan. took And they {took} two princes of the Midianites, Oreb and Zeeb; and they slew Oreb upon the rock Oreb, and Zeeb they slew at the winepress of Zeeb, and pursued Midian, and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon on the other side Jordan . took And when Zebah and Zalmunna fled, he pursued after them, and {took} the two kings of Midian, Zebah and Zalmunna, and discomfited all the host. took And he {took} the elders of the city, and thorns of the wilderness and briers, and with them he taught the men of Succoth. took Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, Rise thou, and fall upon us: for as the man [is, so is] his strength. And Gideon arose, and slew Zebah and Zalmunna, and {took} away the ornaments that [were] on their camels' necks. took And he {took} the people, and divided them into three companies, and laid wait in the field, and looked, and, behold, the people [were] come forth out of the city; and he rose up against them, and smote them. took And Abimelech fought against the city all that day; and he {took} the city, and slew the people that [was] therein, and beat down the city, and sowed it with salt. took And Abimelech gat him up to mount Zalmon, he and all the people that [were] with him; and Abimelech {took} an ax in his hand, and cut down a bough from the trees, and took it, and laid [it] on his shoulder, and said unto the people that [w ere] with him, What ye have seen me do, make haste, [and] do as I [have done]. took And Abimelech gat him up to mount Zalmon, he and all the people that [were] with him; and Abimelech took an ax in his hand, and cut down a bough from the trees, and {took} it, and laid [it] on his shoulder, and said unto the people that [w ere] with him, What ye have seen me do, make haste, [and] do as I [have done]. took Then went Abimelech to Thebez, and encamped against Thebez, and {took} it. took And the king of the children of Ammon answered unto the messengers of Jephthah, Because Israel {took} away my land, when they came up out of Egypt, from Arnon even unto Jabbok, and unto Jordan: now therefore restore those [lands] again pe aceably. took And said unto him, Thus saith Jephthah, Israel {took} not away the land of Moab, nor the land of the children of Ammon: took And the Gileadites {took} the passages of Jordan before the Ephraimites: and it was [so] that when those Ephraimites which were escaped said, Let me go over; that the men of Gilead said unto him, [Art] thou an Ephraimite? If he said, Nay; took Then said they unto him, Say now Shibboleth: and he said Sibboleth: for he could not frame to pronounce [it] right. Then they {took} him, and slew him at the passages of Jordan: and there fell at that time of the Ephraimites forty and two thousand. took And he had thirty sons, and thirty daughters, [whom] he sent abroad, and {took} in thirty daughters from abroad for his sons. And he judged Israel seven years. took So Manoah {took} a kid with a meat offering, and offered [it] upon a rock unto the LORD: and [the angel] did wonderously; and Manoah and his wife looked on. took And he {took} thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the lion. took And the spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and {took} their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to hi s father's house. took And Samson went and caught three hundred foxes, and {took} firebrands, and turned tail to tail, and put a firebrand in the midst between two tails. took And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and {took} it, and slew a thousand men therewith. took And Samson lay till midnight, and arose at midnight, and {took} the doors of the gate of the city, and the two posts, and went away with them, bar and all, and put [them] upon his shoulders, and carried them up to the top of an hill that [ is] before Hebron. took Delilah therefore {took} new ropes, and bound him therewith, and said unto him, The Philistines [be] upon thee, Samson. And [there were] liers in wait abiding in the chamber. And he brake them from off his arms like a thread. took But the Philistines {took} him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house. took And Samson {took} hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left. took Then his brethren and all the house of his father came down, and {took} him, and brought [him] up, and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the buryingplace of Manoah his father. And he judged Israel twenty years. took And he said unto his mother, The eleven hundred [shekels] of silver that were taken from thee, about which thou cursedst, and spakest of also in mine ears, behold, the silver [is] with me; I {took} it. And his mother said, Blessed [be thou ] of the LORD, my son. took Yet he restored the money unto his mother; and his mother {took} two hundred [shekels] of silver, and gave them to the founder, who made thereof a graven image and a molten image: and they were in the house of Micah. took And the five men that went to spy out the land went up, [and] came in thither, [and] {took} the graven image, and the ephod, and the teraphim, and the molten image: and the priest stood in the entering of the gate with the six hundred men [that were] appointed with weapons of war. took And the priest's heart was glad, and he {took} the ephod, and the teraphim, and the graven image, and went in the midst of the people. took And they {took} [the things] which Micah had made, and the priest which he had, and came unto Laish, unto a people [that were] at quiet and secure: and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and burnt the city with fire. took And it came to pass in those days, when [there was] no king in Israel, that there was a certain Levite sojourning on the side of mount Ephraim, who {took} to him a concubine out of Bethlehemjudah. took And they turned aside thither, to go in [and] to lodge in Gibeah: and when he went in, he sat him down in a street of the city: for [there was] no man that {took} them into his house to lodging. took But the men would not hearken to him: so the man {took} his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go. took And he said unto her, Up, and let us be going. But none answered. Then the man {took} her [up] upon an ass, and the man rose up, and gat him unto his place. took And when he was come into his house, he {took} a knife, and laid hold on his concubine, and divided her, [together] with her bones, into twelve pieces, and sent her into all the coasts of Israel. took And I {took} my concubine, and cut her in pieces, and sent her throughout all the country of the inheritance of Israel: for they have committed lewdness and folly in Israel. took And the children of Benjamin did so, and {took} [them] wives, according to their number, of them that danced, whom they caught: and they went and returned unto their inheritance, and repaired the cities, and dwelt in them. took And they {took} them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one [was] Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten years. took And she {took} [it] up, and went into the city: and her mother in law saw what she had gleaned: and she brought forth, and gave to her that she had reserved after she was sufficed. took And he {took} ten men of the elders of the city, and said, Sit ye down here. And they sat down. took So Boaz {took} Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bare a son. took And Naomi {took} the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it. took <1SA1 -24> And when she had weaned him, she {took} him up with her, with three bullocks, and one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine, and brought him unto the house of the LORD in Shiloh: and the child [was] young. took <1SA2 -14> And he struck [it] into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the fleshhook brought up the priest {took} for himself. So they did in Shiloh, unto all the Israelites that came thither. took <1SA5 -1> And the Philistines {took} the ark of God, and brought it from Ebenezer unto Ashdod. took <1SA5 -2> When the Philistines {took} the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon. took <1SA5 -3> And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon [was] fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. And they {took} Dagon, and set him in his place again. took <1SA6 -10> And the men did so; and {took} two milch kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home: took <1SA6 -12> And the kine {took} the straight way to the way of Bethshemesh, [and] went along the highway, lowing as they went, and turned not aside [to] the right hand or [to] the left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them unto the border of Bethshemesh. took <1SA6 -15> And the Levites {took} down the ark of the LORD, and the coffer that [was] with it, wherein the jewels of gold [were], and put [them] on the great stone: and the men of Bethshemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day unto the LORD. took <1SA7 -9> And Samuel {took} a sucking lamb, and offered [it for] a burnt offering wholly unto the LORD: and Samuel cried unto the LORD for Israel; and the LORD heard him. took <1SA7 -12> Then Samuel {took} a stone, and set [it] between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us. took <1SA8 -3> And his sons walked not in his ways, but turned aside after lucre, and {took} bribes, and perverted judgment. took <1SA9 -22> And Samuel {took} Saul and his servant, and brought them into the parlour, and made them sit in the chiefest place among them that were bidden, which [were] about thirty persons. took <1SA9 -24> And the cook {took} up the shoulder, and [that] which [was] upon it, and set [it] before Saul. And [Samuel] said, Behold that which is left! set [it] before thee, [and] eat: for unto this time hath it been kept for thee since I said, I hav e invited the people. So Saul did eat with Samuel that day. took <1SA10 -1> Then Samuel {took} a vial of oil, and poured [it] upon his head, and kissed him, and said, [Is it] not because the LORD hath anointed thee [to be] captain over his inheritance? took <1SA11 -7> And he {took} a yoke of oxen, and hewed them in pieces, and sent [them] throughout all the coasts of Israel by the hands of messengers, saying, Whosoever cometh not forth after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done unto his oxen. And the fear of the LORD fell on the people, and they came out with one consent. took <1SA14 -32> And the people flew upon the spoil, and {took} sheep, and oxen, and calves, and slew [them] on the ground: and the people did eat [them] with the blood. took <1SA14 -47> So Saul {took} the kingdom over Israel, and fought against all his enemies on every side, against Moab, and against the children of Ammon, and against Edom, and against the kings of Zobah, and against the Philistines: and whithersoever he turned himself, he vexed [them]. took <1SA14 -52> And there was sore war against the Philistines all the days of Saul: and when Saul saw any strong man, or any valiant man, he {took} him unto him. took <1SA15 -8> And he {took} Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword. took <1SA15 -21> But the people {took} of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God in Gilgal. took <1SA16 -13> Then Samuel {took} the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah. took <1SA16 -20> And Jesse {took} an ass [laden] with bread, and a bottle of wine, and a kid, and sent [them] by David his son unto Saul. took <1SA16 -23> And it came to pass, when the [evil] spirit from God was upon Saul, that David {took} an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him. took <1SA17 -20> And David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and {took}, and went, as Jesse had commanded him; and he came to the trench, as the host was going forth to the fight, and shouted for the battle. took <1SA17 -34> And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and {took} a lamb out of the flock: took <1SA17 -40> And he {took} his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling [was] in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine. took <1SA17 -49> And David put his hand in his bag, and {took} thence a stone, and slang [it], and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth. took <1SA17 -51> Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and {took} his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled. took <1SA17 -54> And David {took} the head of the Philistine, and brought it to Jerusalem; but he put his armour in his tent. took <1SA17 -57> And as David returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, Abner {took} him, and brought him before Saul with the head of the Philistine in his hand. took <1SA18 -2> And Saul {took} him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father's house. took <1SA19 -13> And Michal {took} an image, and laid [it] in the bed, and put a pillow of goats' [hair] for his bolster, and covered [it] with a cloth. took <1SA24 -2> Then Saul {took} three thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and went to seek David and his men upon the rocks of the wild goats. took <1SA25 -18> Then Abigail made haste, and {took} two hundred loaves, and two bottles of wine, and five sheep ready dressed, and five measures of parched [corn], and an hundred clusters of raisins, and two hundred cakes of figs, and laid [them] on asse s. took <1SA25 -43> David also {took} Ahinoam of Jezreel; and they were also both of them his wives. took <1SA26 -12> So David {took} the spear and the cruse of water from Saul's bolster; and they gat them away, and no man saw [it], nor knew [it], neither awaked: for they [were] all asleep; because a deep sleep from the LORD was fallen upon them. took <1SA27 -9> And David smote the land, and left neither man nor woman alive, and {took} away the sheep, and the oxen, and the asses, and the camels, and the apparel, and returned, and came to Achish. took <1SA28 -24> And the woman had a fat calf in the house; and she hasted, and killed it, and {took} flour, and kneaded [it], and did bake unleavened bread thereof: took <1SA30 -20> And David {took} all the flocks and the herds, [which] they drave before those [other] cattle, and said, This [is] David's spoil. took <1SA31 -4> Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul {took} a sword , and fell upon it. took <1SA31 -12> All the valiant men arose, and went all night, and {took} the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Bethshan, and came to Jabesh, and burnt them there. took <1SA31 -13> And they {took} their bones, and buried [them] under a tree at Jabesh, and fasted seven days. took <2SA1 -10> So I stood upon him, and slew him, because I was sure that he could not live after that he was fallen: and I {took} the crown that [was] upon his head, and the bracelet that [was] on his arm, and have brought them hither unto my lord. took <2SA1 -11> Then David {took} hold on his clothes, and rent them; and likewise all the men that [were] with him: took <2SA2 -8> But Abner the son of Ner, captain of Saul's host, {took} Ishbosheth the son of Saul, and brought him over to Mahanaim; took <2SA2 -32> And they {took} up Asahel, and buried him in the sepulchre of his father, which [was in] Bethlehem. And Joab and his men went all night, and they came to Hebron at break of day. took <2SA3 -15> And Ishbosheth sent, and {took} her from [her] husband, [even] from Phaltiel the son of Laish. took <2SA3 -27> And when Abner was returned to Hebron, Joab {took} him aside in the gate to speak with him quietly, and smote him there under the fifth [rib], that he died, for the blood of Asahel his brother. took <2SA3 -36> And all the people {took} notice [of it], and it pleased them: as whatsoever the king did pleased all the people. took <2SA4 -4> And Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son [that was] lame of [his] feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse {took} him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name [was] Mephibosheth. took <2SA4 -7> For when they came into the house, he lay on his bed in his bedchamber, and they smote him, and slew him, and beheaded him, and {took} his head, and gat them away through the plain all night. took <2SA4 -10> When one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good tidings, I {took} hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, who [thought] that I would have given him a reward for his tidings: took <2SA4 -12> And David commanded his young men, and they slew them, and cut off their hands and their feet, and hanged [them] up over the pool in Hebron. But they {took} the head of Ishbosheth, and buried [it] in the sepulchre of Abner in Hebron. took <2SA5 -7> Nevertheless David {took} the strong hold of Zion: the same [is] the city of David. took <2SA5 -13> And David {took} [him] more concubines and wives out of Jerusalem, after he was come from Hebron: and there were yet sons and daughters born to David. took <2SA6 -6> And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth [his hand] to the ark of God, and {took} hold of it; for the oxen shook [it]. took <2SA7 -8> Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I {took} thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel: took <2SA7 -15> But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I {took} [it] from Saul, whom I put away before thee. took <2SA8 -1> And after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them: and David {took} Methegammah out of the hand of the Philistines. took <2SA8 -4> And David {took} from him a thousand [chariots], and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David hocked all the chariot [horses], but reserved of them [for] an hundred chariots. took <2SA8 -7> And David {took} the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem. took <2SA8 -8> And from Betah, and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David {took} exceeding much brass. took <2SA10 -4> Wherefore Hanun {took} David's servants, and shaved off the one half of their beards, and cut off their garments in the middle, [even] to their buttocks, and sent them away. took <2SA11 -4> And David sent messengers, and {took} her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house. took <2SA12 -4> And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but {took} the poor man's lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to hi m. took <2SA12 -26> And Joab fought against Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and {took} the royal city. took <2SA12 -29> And David gathered all the people together, and went to Rabbah, and fought against it, and {took} it. took <2SA12 -30> And he {took} their king's crown from off his head, the weight whereof [was] a talent of gold with the precious stones: and it was [set] on David's head. And he brought forth the spoil of the city in great abundance. took <2SA13 -8> So Tamar went to her brother Amnon's house; and he was laid down. And she {took} flour, and kneaded [it], and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes. took <2SA13 -9> And she {took} a pan, and poured [them] out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have out all men from me. And they went out every man from him. took <2SA13 -10> And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the meat into the chamber, that I may eat of thine hand. And Tamar {took} the cakes which she had made, and brought [them] into the chamber to Amnon her brother. took <2SA13 -11> And when she had brought [them] unto him to eat, he {took} hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister. took <2SA15 -5> And it was [so], that when any man came night [to him] to do him obeisance, he put forth his hand, and {took} him, and kissed him. took <2SA17 -19> And the woman {took} and spread a covering over the well's mouth, and spread ground corn thereon; and the thing was not known. took <2SA18 -14> Then said Joab, I may not tarry thus with thee. And he {took} three darts in his hand, and thrust them through the heart of Absalom, while he [was] yet alive in the midst of the oak. took <2SA18 -17> And they {took} Absalom, and cast him into a great pit in the wood, and laid a very great heap of stones upon him: and all Israel fled every one to his tent. took <2SA20 -3> And David came to his house at Jerusalem; and the king {took} the ten women [his] concubines, whom he had left to keep the house, and put them in ward, and fed them, but went not in unto them. And the Levites {took} [it], to car ry [it] out abroad into the brook Kidron. took <2CH30 -14> And they arose and {took} away the altars that [were] in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense took they away, and cast [them] into the brook Kidron. took <2CH30 -14> And they arose and took away the altars that [were] in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense {took} they away, and cast [them] into the brook Kidron. took <2CH30 -23> And the whole assembly {took} counsel to keep other seven days: and they kept [other] seven days with gladness. took <2CH32 -3> He {took} counsel with his princes and his mighty men to stop the waters of the fountains which [were] without the city: and they did help him. took <2CH33 -11> Wherefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which {took} Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon. took <2CH33 -15> And he {took} away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the LORD, and in Jerusalem, and cast [them] out of the city. took <2CH34 -33> And Josiah {took} away all the abominations out of all the countries that [pertained] to the children of Israel, and made all that were present in Israel to serve, [even] to serve the LORD their God. [And] all his days they departed not f rom following the LORD, the God of their fathers. took <2CH35 -24> His servants therefore {took} him out of that chariot, and put him in the second chariot that he had; and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died, and was buried in [one of] the sepulchres of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mo urned for Josiah. took <2CH36 -1> Then the people of the land {took} Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and made him king in his father's stead in Jerusalem. took <2CH36 -4> And the king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and turned his name to Jehoiakim. And Necho {took} Jehoahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt. took And of the children of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai; which {took} a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name: took And the vessels also of gold and silver of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar {took} out of the temple that [was] in Jerusalem, and brought them into the temple of Babylon, those did Cyrus the king take out of the temple of Babylon, an d they were delivered unto [one], whose name [was] Sheshbazzar, whom he had made governor; took And also let the golden and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar {took} forth out of the temple which [is] at Jerusalem, and brought unto Babylon, be restored, and brought again unto the temple which [is] at Jerusalem, [ every one] to his place, and place [them] in the house of God. took So {took} the priests and the Levites the weight of the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, to bring [them] to Jerusalem unto the house of our God. took And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, [that] wine [was] before him: and I {took} up the wine, and gave [it] unto the king. Now I had not been [beforetime] sad in his presence. took But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we builded the wall, he was wroth, and {took} great indignation, and mocked the Jews. took Then said they, We will restore [them], and will require nothing of them; so will we do as thou sayest. Then I called the priests, and {took} an oath of them, that they should do according to this promise. took And of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai, which {took} [one] of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was called after their name. took And they {took} strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods, wells digged, vineyards, and oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance: so they did eat, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in thy great goodness. took And he brought up Hadassah, that [is], Esther, his uncle's daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid [was] fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, {took} for his own daughter. took And the king {took} his ring from his hand, and gave it unto Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the Jews' enemy. took Then {took} Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour. took And the king {took} off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman. took The Jews ordained, and {took} upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all such as joined themselves unto them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their [appointed] ti me every year; took And the Sabeans fell [upon them], and {took} them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. took And he {took} him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes. took He sent from above, he {took} me, he drew me out of many waters. took But thou [art] he that {took} me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope [when I was] upon my mother's breasts. took For I have heard the slander of many: fear [was] on every side: while they {took} counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life. took Fear {took} hold upon them there, [and] pain, as of a woman in travail. took We {took} sweet counsel together, [and] walked unto the house of God in company. took To the chief Musician upon Jonathelemrechokim, Michtam of David, when the Philistines {took} him in Gath. Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me. took They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, [being] mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored [that] which I {took} not away. took By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that {took} me out of my mother's bowels: my praise [shall be] continually of thee. took He chose David also his servant, and {took} him from the sheepfolds: took The slothful [man] roasteth not that which he {took} in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man [is] precious. took Therefore I went about to cause my heart to despair of all the labour which I {took} under the sun. took The watchmen that went about the city found me, they smote me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls {took} away my veil from me. took And I {took} unto me faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah. took In the year that Tartan came unto Ashdod (when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him,) and fought against Ashdod, and {took} it; took Now it came to pass in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah, [that] Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the defenced cities of Judah, and {took} them. took With whom {took} he counsel, and [who] instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and showed to him the way of understanding? took Then I went to Euphrates, and digged, and {took} the girdle from the place where I had hid it: and, behold, the girdle was marred, it was profitable for nothing. took Then {took} I the cup at the LORD'S hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom the LORD had sent me: took Now it came to pass, when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking all that the LORD had commanded [him] to speak unto all the people, that the priests and the prophets and all the people {took} him, saying, Thou shalt surely die. took Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon {took} not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem; took Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of the LORD'S house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon {took} away from this place, and carried them to Babylon: took Then Hananiah the prophet {took} the yoke from off the prophet Jeremiah's neck, and brake it. took Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day [that] I {took} them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: took And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed [it], and {took} witnesses, and weighed [him] the money in the balances. took So I {took} the evidence of the purchase, [both] that which was sealed [according] to the law and custom, and that which was open: took Then I {took} Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habaziniah, and his brethren, and all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites; took Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, unto Baruch, saying, Take in thine hand the roll wherein thou hast read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah { took} the roll in his hand, and came unto them. took So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he {took} it out of Elishama the scribe's chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king. took Then {took} Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besi des unto them many like words. took And when he was in the gate of Benjamin, a captain of the ward [was] there, whose name [was] Irijah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Hananiah; and he {took} Jeremiah the prophet, saying, Thou fallest away to the Chaldeans. took Then said Jeremiah, [It is] false; I fall not away to the Chaldeans. But he hearkened not to him: so Irijah {took} Jeremiah, and brought him to the princes. took Then Zedekiah the king sent, and {took} him out: and the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there [any] word from the LORD? And Jeremiah said, There is: for, said he, thou shalt be delivered into the hand of the king of Ba bylon. took Then {took} they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that [was] in the court of the prison: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon [there was] no water, but mire: so Jeremiah sunk in the mire. took So Ebedmelech took the men with him, and went into the house of the king under the treasury, and {took} thence old cast clouts and old rotten rags, and let them down by cords into the dungeon to Jeremiah. took So Ebedmelech {took} the men with him, and went into the house of the king under the treasury, and took thence old cast clouts and old rotten rags, and let them down by cords into the dungeon to Jeremiah. took So they drew up Jeremiah with cords, and {took} him up out of the dungeon: and Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison. took Then Zedekiah the king sent, and {took} Jeremiah the prophet unto him into the third entry that [is] in the house of the LORD: and the king said unto Jeremiah, I will ask thee a thing; hide nothing from me. took Even they sent, and {took} Jeremiah out of the court of the prison, and committed him unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, that he should carry him home: so he dwelt among the people. took And the captain of the guard {took} Jeremiah, and said unto him, The LORD thy God hath pronounced this evil upon this place. took Then they {took} all the men, and went to fight with Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and found him by the great waters that [are] in Gibeon. took Then {took} Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that [were] with him, all the remnant of the people whom he had recovered from Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, from Mizpah, after [that] he had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, [even] mighty men of war, and the women, and the children, and the eunuchs, whom he had brought again from Gibeon: took But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, {took} all the remnant of Judah, that were returned from all nations, whither they had been driven, to dwell in the land of Judah; took Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The children of Israel and the children of Judah [were] oppressed together: and all that {took} them captives held them fast; they refused to let them go. took The king of Babylon hath heard the report of them, and his hands waxed feeble: anguish {took} hold of him, [and] pangs as of a woman in travail. took Then they {took} the king, and carried him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; where he gave judgment upon him. took The caldrons also, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, {took} they away. took And the basins, and the firepans, and the bowls, and the caldrons, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups; [that] which [was] of gold [in] gold, and [that] which [was] of silver [in] silver, {took} the captain of the guard awa y. took And the captain of the guard {took} Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door: took He {took} also out of the city an eunuch, which had the charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were near the king's person, which were found in the city; and the principal scribe of the host, who mustered the people of the l and; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city. took So Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard {took} them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah. took They {took} the young men to grind, and the children fell under the wood. took Then the spirit {took} me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, [saying], Blessed [be] the glory of the LORD from his place. took So the spirit lifted me up, and {took} me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me. took And he put forth the form of an hand, and {took} me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward t he north; where [was] the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy. took And [one] cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubims unto the fire that [was] between the cherubims, and {took} [thereof], and put [it] into the hands of [him that was] clothed with linen: who took [it], and went out. took And [one] cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubims unto the fire that [was] between the cherubims, and took [thereof], and put [it] into the hands of [him that was] clothed with linen: who {took} [it], and went out. took Afterwards the spirit {took} me up, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me. took And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I {took} them away as I saw [good]. took And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; A great eagle with great wings, longwinged, full of feathers, which had divers colours, came unto Lebanon, and {took} the highest branch of the cedar: took He {took} also of the seed of the land, and planted it in a fruitful field; he placed [it] by great waters, [and] set it [as] a willow tree. took Now when she saw that she had waited, [and] her hope was lost, then she {took} another of her whelps, [and] made him a young lion. took These discovered her nakedness: they {took} her sons and her daughters, and slew her with the sword: and she became famous among women; for they had executed judgment upon her. took Then I saw that she was defiled, [that] they [{took}] both one way, took When they {took} hold of thee by thy hand, thou didst break, and rend all their shoulder: and when they leaned upon thee, thou brakest, and madest all their loins to be at a stand. took He heard the sound of the trumpet, and {took} not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. took So the spirit {took} me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house. took Thus Melzar {took} away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse. took Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that {took} up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. took But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they {took} his glory from him: took And Darius the Median {took} the kingdom, [being] about threescore and two years old. took So he went and {took} Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son. took He {took} his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God: took I gave thee a king in mine anger, and {took} [him] away in my wrath. took And the LORD {took} me as I followed the flock, and the LORD said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel. took So they {took} up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging. took And I will feed the flock of slaughter, [even] you, O poor of the flock. And I {took} unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock. took And I {took} my staff, [even] Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people. took And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I {took} the thirty [pieces] of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD. took Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and {took} unto him his wife: took When he arose, he {took} the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: took And he arose, and {took} the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel. took That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself {took} our infirmities, and bare [our] sicknesses. took But when the people were put forth, he went in, and {took} her by the hand, and the maid arose. took Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man {took}, and sowed in his field: took Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman {took}, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. took And his disciples came, and {took} up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus. took And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and {took} the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to [his] disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. took And they did all eat, and were filled: and they {took} up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. took And he {took} the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake [them], and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. took And they did all eat, and were filled: and they {took} up of the broken [meat] that was left seven baskets full. took And he sent away the multitude, and {took} ship, and came into the coasts of Magdala. took Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye {took} up? took Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye {took} up? took Then Peter {took} him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. took But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and {took} [him] by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. took And Jesus going up to Jerusalem {took} the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them, took And the husbandmen {took} his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. took But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they {took} him for a prophet. took And the remnant {took} his servants, and entreated [them] spitefully, and slew [them]. took Then went the Pharisees, and {took} counsel how they might entangle him in [his] talk. took And knew not until the flood came, and {took} them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. took Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which {took} their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. took They that [were] foolish took their lamps, and {took} no oil with them: took They that [were] foolish {took} their lamps, and took no oil with them: took But the wise {took} oil in their vessels with their lamps. took And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway {took} his journey. took For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye {took} me in: took When saw we thee a stranger, and {took} [thee] in? or naked, and clothed [thee]? took I was a stranger, and ye {took} me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. took And as they were eating, Jesus {took} bread, and blessed [it], and brake [it], and gave [it] to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. took And he {took} the cup, and gave thanks, and gave [it] to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; took And he {took} with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. took And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and {took} him. took When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people {took} counsel against Jesus to put him to death: took And the chief priests {took} the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood. took And they {took} counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in. took Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they {took} the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value; took When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but [that] rather a tumult was made, he {took} water, and washed [his] hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye [to it]. took Then the soldiers of the governor {took} Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band [of soldiers]. took And they spit upon him, and {took} the reed, and smote him on the head. took And after that they had mocked him, they {took} the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify [him]. took And straightway one of them ran, and {took} a sponge, and filled [it] with vinegar, and put [it] on a reed, and gave him to drink. took So they {took} the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day. took And he came and {took} her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them. took And immediately he arose, {took} up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion. took And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway {took} counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him. took And when they had sent away the multitude, they {took} him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. took And he {took} the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. took And when his disciples heard of it], they came and {took} up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb. took And they {took} up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes. took And he {took} him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue; took And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he {took} the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them]; and they did set them] before the people. took So they did eat, and were filled: and they {took} up of the broken meat] that was left seven baskets. took When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments {took} ye up? They say unto him, Twelve. took And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments {took} ye up? And they said, Seven. took And he {took} the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. took And he spake that saying openly.
