herod <MAT2 -1> Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea

in the days of {Herod} the king, behold, there came wise men

from the east to Jerusalem,

herod <MAT2 -3> When {Herod} the king had heard [these things],

he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

herod <MAT2 -7> Then {Herod}, when he had privily called the

wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star

appeared.

herod <MAT2 -12> And being warned of God in a dream that they

should not return to {Herod}, they departed into their own

country another way.

herod <MAT2 -13> And when they were departed, behold, the angel

of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and

take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be

thou there until I bring thee word: for {Herod} will seek the y

oung child to destroy him.

herod <MAT2 -15> And was there until the death of {Herod}: that

it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the

prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

herod <MAT2 -16> Then {Herod}, when he saw that he was mocked of

the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all

the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts

thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time

which

he had diligently inquired of the wise men.

herod <MAT2 -19> But when {Herod} was dead, behold, an angel of

the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

herod <MAT2 -22> But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in

Judaea in the room of his father {Herod}, he was afraid to go

thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he

turned aside into the parts of Galilee:

herod <MAT14 -1> At that time {Herod} the tetrarch heard of the

fame of Jesus,

herod <MAT14 -3> For {Herod} had laid hold on John, and bound

him, and put [him] in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother

Philip's wife.

herod <MAT14 -6> But when Herod's birthday was kept, the

daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased {Herod}.

herod <MAR6 -14> And king {Herod} heard of him]; for his name

was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist was risen

from the dead, and therefore mighty works do show forth

themselves in him.

herod <MAR6 -16> But when {Herod} heard thereof], he said, It is

John, whom I beheaded: he is risen from the dead.

herod <MAR6 -17> For {Herod} himself had sent forth and laid

hold upon John, and bound him in prison for Herodias' sake, his

brother Philip's wife: for he had married her.

herod <MAR6 -18> For John had said unto {Herod}, It is not

lawful for thee to have thy brother's wife.

herod <MAR6 -20> For {Herod} feared John, knowing that he was a

just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him,

he did many things, and heard him gladly.

herod <MAR6 -21> And when a convenient day was come, that

{Herod} on his birthday made a supper to his lords, high

captains, and chief estates] of Galilee;

herod <MAR6 -22> And when the daughter of the said Herodias came

in, and danced, and pleased {Herod} and them that sat with him,

the king said unto the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt,

and I will give it] thee.

herod <MAR8 -15> And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware

of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of] the leaven of {Herod}.

herod <LUK1 -5> There was in the days of {Herod}, the king of

Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia:

and his wife was] of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was]

Elisabeth.

miracle done by him.

nought, and mocked him], and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and

sent him again to Pilate.

friends together: for before they were at enmity between

themselves.

herod <LUK23 -15> No, nor yet {Herod}: for I sent you to him;

and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him.

herod <ACT4 -27> For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus,

whom thou hast anointed, both {Herod}, and Pontius Pilate, with

the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

expectation of the people of the Jews.

him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they]

should be put to death. And he went down from Judaea to Caesarea,

 and there] abode.

herod <ACT12 -20> And {Herod} was highly displeased with them of

Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and,

having made Blastus the king's chamberlain their friend, desired

peace; because their country was nourished by the king's

country].

herod <ACT12 -21> And upon a set day {Herod}, arrayed in royal

apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them.

herod <ACT13 -1> Now there were in the church that was at

Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon

that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which

had been brought up with {Herod} the tetrarch, and Saul.
