answered <GEN18 -27> And Abraham {answered} and said, Behold now,
I
have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which [am but] dust
and
ashes:
answered <GEN23 -5> And the children of Heth {answered} Abraham,
saying unto him,
answered <GEN23 -10> And Ephron dwelt among the children of Heth:
and Ephron the Hittite {answered} Abraham in the audience of the
children of Heth, [even] of all that went in at the gate of his
city, saying,
answered <GEN23 -14> And Ephron {answered} Abraham, saying unto
him,

thing proceedeth from the LORD: we cannot speak unto thee bad or
good.

unto
him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and

him, [Is there] yet any portion or inheritance for us in our

Because
I was afraid: for I said, Peradventure thou wouldest take by
force
thy daughters from me.
answered <GEN31 -36> And Jacob was wroth, and chided with Laban:
and
Jacob {answered} and said to Laban, What [is] my trespass? what
[is]
my sin, that thou hast so hotly pursued after me?
answered <GEN31 -43> And Laban {answered} and said unto Jacob,
[These] daughters [are] my daughters, and [these] children [are]
my
children, and [these] cattle [are] my cattle, and all that thou
seest [is] mine: and what can I do this day unto these my da
ughters, or unto their children which they have born?
answered <GEN34 -13> And the sons of Jacob {answered} Shechem and
Hamor his father deceitfully, and said, because he had defiled
Dinah

will make there an altar unto God, who {answered} me in the day
of
my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.
answered <GEN40 -18> And Joseph {answered} and said, This [is]

[is] in good health, he [is] yet alive. And they bowed down their

LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider

answered <EXO19 -8> And all the people {answered} together, and
said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses
returned
the words of the people unto the LORD.
answered <EXO19 -19> And when the voice of the trumpet sounded
long,
and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God {answered} him
by
a voice.

of the LORD, and all the judgments: and all the people {answered}
with one voice, and said, All the words which the LORD hath said
will we do.

answered <NUM23 -12> And he {answered} and said, Must I not take
heed to speak that which the LORD hath put in my mouth?

Told
not I thee, saying, All that the LORD speaketh, that I must do?
answered <NUM32 -31> And the children of Gad and the children of
Reuben {answered}, saying, As the LORD hath said unto thy
servants,
so will we do.
answered <DEU1 -14> And ye {answered} me, and said, The thing
which
thou hast spoken [is] good [for us] to do.
answered <DEU1 -41> Then ye {answered} and said unto me, We have
sinned against the LORD, we will go up and fight, according to
all
that the LORD our God commanded us. And when ye had girded on
every
man his weapons of war, ye were ready to go up into the
hill.
answered <JOS1 -16> And they {answered} Joshua, saying, All that
thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us,
we
will go.
answered <JOS2 -14> And the men {answered} her, Our life for
yours,
if ye utter not this our business. And it shall be, when the LORD
hath given us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with
thee.
answered <JOS7 -20> And Achan {answered} Joshua, and said,
Indeed I
have sinned against the LORD God of Israel, and thus and thus
have I
done:
answered <JOS9 -24> And they {answered} Joshua, and said,
Because it
was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God
commanded
his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all
the
inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore
we were sore afraid of our lives because of you, and have done
this
thing.
answered <JOS15 -19> Who {answered}, Give me a blessing; for thou
hast given me a south land; give me also springs of water. And he
gave her the upper springs, and the nether springs.
answered <JOS17 -15> And Joshua {answered} them, If thou [be] a
great people, [then] get thee up to the wood [country], and cut
down
for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the
giants,
if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee.
answered <JOS22 -21> Then the children of Reuben and the
children of
Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh {answered}, and said unto the
heads of the thousands of Israel,
answered <JOS24 -16> And the people {answered} and said, God
forbid
that we should forsake the LORD, to serve other gods;
answered <JUG5 -29> Her wise ladies {answered} her, yea, she
returned answer to herself,
answered <JUG7 -14> And his fellow {answered} and said, This [is]
nothing else save the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of
Israel: [for] into his hand hath God delivered Midian, and all
the
host.
answered <JUG8 -8> And he went up thence to Penuel, and spake
unto
them likewise: and the men of Penuel {answered} him as the men of
Succoth had answered [him].
answered <JUG8 -8> And he went up thence to Penuel, and spake
unto
them likewise: and the men of Penuel answered him as the men of
Succoth had {answered} [him].
answered <JUG8 -18> Then said he unto Zebah and Zalmunna, What
manner of men [were they] whom ye slew at Tabor? And they
{answered}, As thou [art], so [were] they; each one resembled the
children of a king.
answered <JUG8 -25> And they {answered}, We will willingly give
[them]. And they spread a garment, and did cast therein every man
the earrings of his prey.
answered <JUG11 -13> And the king of the children of Ammon
{answered} unto the messengers of Jephthah, Because Israel took
away
my land, when they came up out of Egypt, from Arnon even unto
Jabbok, and unto Jordan: now therefore restore those [lands] agai
n peaceably.
answered <JUG15 -6> Then the Philistines said, Who hath done
this?
And they {answered}, Samson, the son in law of the Timnite,
because
he had taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the
Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with fi
re.
answered <JUG15 -10> And the men of Judah said, Why are ye come
up
against us? And they {answered}, To bind Samson are we come up,
to
do to him as he hath done to us.
answered <JUG18 -14> Then {answered} the five men that went to
spy
out the country of Laish, and said unto their brethren, Do ye
know
that there is in these houses an ephod, and teraphim, and a
graven
image, and a molten image? now therefore consider what
ye have to do.
answered <JUG19 -28> And he said unto her, Up, and let us be
going.
But none {answered}. Then the man took her [up] upon an ass, and
the
man rose up, and gat him unto his place.
answered <JUG20 -4> And the Levite, the husband of the woman that
was slain, {answered} and said, I came into Gibeah that
[belongeth]
to Benjamin, I and my concubine, to lodge.
answered <RUT2 -4> And, behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and
said
unto the reapers, The LORD [be] with you. And they {answered}
him,
The LORD bless thee.
answered <RUT2 -6> And the servant that was set over the reapers
{answered} and said, It [is] the Moabitish damsel that came back
with Naomi out of the country of Moab:
answered <RUT2 -11> And Boaz {answered} and said unto her, It
hath
fully been showed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in
law
since the death of thine husband: and [how] thou hast left thy
father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and
art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.
answered <RUT3 -9> And he said, Who [art] thou? And she
{answered},
I [am] Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine
handmaid; for thou [art] a near kinsman.
answered <1SA1 -15> And Hannah {answered} and said, No, my lord,
I
[am] a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor
strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.
answered <1SA1 -17> Then Eli {answered} and said, Go in peace:
and
the God of Israel grant [thee] thy petition that thou hast asked
of
him.
answered <1SA3 -4> That the LORD called Samuel: and he
{answered},
Here [am] I.
answered <1SA3 -6> And the LORD called yet again, Samuel. And
Samuel
arose and went to Eli, and said, Here [am] I; for thou didst call
me. And he {answered}, I called not, my son; lie down again.
answered <1SA3 -10> And the LORD came, and stood, and called as
at
other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel {answered}, Speak; for
thy
servant heareth.
answered <1SA3 -16> Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my
son. And he {answered}, Here [am] I.
answered <1SA4 -17> And the messenger {answered} and said,
Israel is
fled before the Philistines, and there hath been also a great
slaughter among the people, and thy two sons also, Hophni and
Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God is taken.
answered <1SA4 -20> And about the time of her death the women
that
stood by her said unto her, Fear not; for thou hast borne a son.
But
she {answered} not, neither did she regard [it].
answered <1SA5 -8> They sent therefore and gathered all the
lords of
the Philistines unto them, and said, What shall we do with the
ark
of the God of Israel? And they {answered}, Let the ark of the
God of
Israel be carried about unto Gath. And they carrie
d the ark of the God of Israel about [thither].
answered <1SA6 -4> Then said they, What [shall be] the trespass
offering which we shall return to him? They {answered}, Five
golden
emerods, and five golden mice, [according to] the number of the
lords of the Philistines: for one plague [was] on you all,
and on your lords.
answered <1SA9 -8> And the servant {answered} Saul again, and
said,
Behold, I have here at hand the fourth part of a shekel of
silver:
[that] will I give to the man of God, to tell us our way.
answered <1SA9 -12> And they {answered} them, and said, He is;
behold, [he is] before you: make haste now, for he came to day to
the city; for [there is] a sacrifice of the people to day in the
high place:
answered <1SA9 -19> And Samuel {answered} Saul, and said, I [am]
the
seer: go up before me unto the high place; for ye shall eat with
me
to day, and to morrow I will let thee go, and will tell thee all
that [is] in thine heart.
answered <1SA9 -21> And Saul {answered} and said, [Am] not I a
Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? and my family
the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? wherefore
then speakest thou so to me?
answered <1SA10 -12> And one of the same place {answered} and
said,
But who [is] their father? Therefore it became a proverb, [Is]
Saul
also among the prophets?
answered <1SA10 -22> Therefore they inquired of the LORD further,
if
the man should yet come thither. And the LORD {answered}, Behold,
he
hath hid himself among the stuff.
answered <1SA11 -2> And Nahash the Ammonite {answered} them, On
this
[condition] will I make [a covenant] with you, that I may thrust
out
all your right eyes, and lay it [for] a reproach upon all Israel.
answered <1SA12 -5> And he said unto them, The LORD [is] witness
against you, and his anointed [is] witness this day, that ye have
not found ought in my hand. And they {answered}, [He is] witness.
answered <1SA14 -12> And the men of the garrison {answered}
Jonathan
and his armourbearer, and said, Come up to us, and we will show
you
a thing. And Jonathan said unto his armourbearer, Come up after
me:
for the LORD hath delivered them into the hand of
Israel.
answered <1SA14 -28> Then {answered} one of the people, and said,
Thy father straitly charged the people with an oath, saying,
Cursed
[be] the man that eateth [any] food this day. And the people were
faint.
answered <1SA14 -37> And Saul asked counsel of God, Shall I go
down
after the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into the hand of
Israel? But he {answered} him not that day.
answered <1SA14 -39> For, [as] the LORD liveth, which saveth
Israel,
though it be in Jonathan my son, he shall surely die. But [there
was] not a man among all the people [that] {answered} him.
answered <1SA14 -44> And Saul {answered}, God do so and more
also:
for thou shalt surely die, Jonathan.
answered <1SA16 -18> Then {answered} one of the servants, and
said,
Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, [that is]
cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war,
and
prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD [i
s] with him.
answered <1SA17 -27> And the people {answered} him after this
manner, saying, So shall it be done to the man that killeth him.
answered <1SA17 -30> And he turned from him toward another, and
spake after the same manner: and the people {answered} him again
after the former manner.
answered <1SA17 -58> And Saul said to him, Whose son [art] thou,
[thou] young man? And David {answered}, I [am] the son of thy
servant Jesse the Bethlehemite.
answered <1SA18 -7> And the women {answered} [one another] as
they
played, and said, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his
ten
thousands.
answered <1SA19 -17> And Saul said unto Michal, Why hast thou
deceived me so, and sent away mine enemy, that he is escaped? And
Michal {answered} Saul, He said unto me, Let me go; why should I
kill thee?
answered <1SA20 -28> And Jonathan {answered} Saul, David
earnestly
asked [leave] of me [to go] to Bethlehem:
answered <1SA20 -32> And Jonathan {answered} Saul his father, and
said unto him, Wherefore shall he be slain? what hath he done?
answered <1SA21 -4> And the priest {answered} David, and said,
[There is] no common bread under mine hand, but there is hallowed
bread; if the young men have kept themselves at least from women.
answered <1SA21 -5> And David {answered} the priest, and said
unto
him, Of a truth women [have been] kept from us about these three
days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are
holy,
and [the bread is] in a manner common, yea, though it we
re sanctified this day in the vessel.
answered <1SA22 -9> Then {answered} Doeg the Edomite, which was
set
over the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse
coming
to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.
answered <1SA22 -12> And Saul said, Hear now, thou son of Ahitub.
And he {answered}, Here I [am], my lord.
answered <1SA22 -14> Then Ahimelech {answered} the king, and
said,
And who [is so] faithful among all thy servants as David, which
is
the king's son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is
honourable
in thine house?
answered <1SA23 -4> Then David inquired of the LORD yet again.
And
the LORD {answered} him and said, Arise, go down to Keilah: for I
will deliver the Philistines into thine hand.
answered <1SA25 -10> And Nabal {answered} David's servants, and
said, Who [is] David? and who [is] the son of Jesse? there be
many
servants now a days that break away every man from his master.
answered <1SA26 -6> Then {answered} David and said to Ahimelech
the
Hittite, and to Abishai the son of Zeruiah, brother to Joab,
saying,
Who will go down with me to Saul to the camp? And Abishai said, I
will go down with thee.
answered <1SA26 -14> And David cried to the people, and to Abner
the
son of Ner, saying, Answerest thou not, Abner? Then Abner
{answered}
and said, Who [art] thou [that] criest to the king?
answered <1SA26 -22> And David {answered} and said, Behold the
king's spear! and let one of the young men come over and fetch
it.
answered <1SA28 -6> And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD
{answered} him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by
prophets.
answered <1SA28 -15> And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou
disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul {answered}, I am sore
distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is
departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets,
nor
by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make
known
unto me what I shall do.
answered <1SA29 -9> And Achish {answered} and said to David, I
know
that thou [art] good in my sight, as an angel of God:
notwithstanding the princes of the Philistines have said, He
shall
not go up with us to the battle.
answered <1SA30 -8> And David inquired at the LORD, saying,
Shall I
pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he {answered}
him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake [them], and without
fail
recover [all].
answered <1SA30 -22> Then {answered} all the wicked men and
[men] of
Belial, of those that went with David, and said, Because they
went
not with us, we will not give them [ought] of the spoil that we
have
recovered, save to every man his wife and his chil
dren, that they may lead [them] away, and depart.
answered <2SA1 -4> And David said unto him, How went the matter?
I
pray thee, tell me. And he {answered}, That the people are fled
from
the battle, and many of the people also are fallen and dead; and
Saul and Jonathan his son are dead also.
answered <2SA1 -7> And when he looked behind him, he saw me, and
called unto me. And I {answered}, Here [am] I.
answered <2SA1 -8> And he said unto me, Who [art] thou? And I
{answered} him, I [am] an Amalekite.
answered <2SA1 -13> And David said unto the young man that told
him,
Whence [art] thou? And he {answered}, I [am] the son of a
stranger,
an Amalekite.
answered <2SA2 -20> Then Abner looked behind him, and said, [Art]
thou Asahel? And he {answered}, I [am].
answered <2SA4 -9> And David {answered} Rechab and Baanah his
brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said unto them,
[As]
the LORD liveth, who hath redeemed my soul out of all adversity,
answered <2SA9 -6> Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan,
the
son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did
reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he {answered},
Behold
thy servant!
answered <2SA13 -12> And she {answered} him, Nay, my brother, do
not
force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not
thou
this folly.
answered <2SA13 -32> And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's
brother, {answered} and said, Let not my lord suppose [that] they
have slain all the young men the king's sons; for Amnon only is
dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this hath been determine
d from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.
answered <2SA14 -5> And the king said unto her, What aileth thee?
And she {answered}, I [am] indeed a widow woman, and mine
husband is
dead.
answered <2SA14 -18> Then the king {answered} and said unto the
woman, Hide not from me, I pray thee, the thing that I shall ask
thee. And the woman said, Let my lord the king now speak.
answered <2SA14 -19> And the king said, [Is not] the hand of Joab
with thee in all this? And the woman {answered} and said, [As]
thy
soul liveth, my lord the king, none can turn to the right hand
or to
the left from ought that my lord the king hath spoken
: for thy servant Joab, he bade me, and he put all these words in
the mouth of thine handmaid:
answered <2SA14 -32> And Absalom {answered} Joab, Behold, I sent
unto thee, saying, Come hither, that I may send thee to the king,
to
say, Wherefore am I come from Geshur? [it had been] good for me
[to
have been] there still: now therefore let me see the
king's face; and if there be [any] iniquity in me, let him kill
me.
answered <2SA15 -21> And Ittai {answered} the king, and said,
[As]
the LORD liveth, and [as] my lord the king liveth, surely in what
place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even
there also will thy servant be.
answered <2SA18 -3> But the people {answered}, Thou shalt not go
forth: for if we flee away, they will not care for us; neither if
half of us die, will they care for us: but now [thou art] worth
ten
thousand of us: therefore now [it is] better that thou s
uccour us out of the city.
answered <2SA18 -29> And the king said, Is the young man Absalom
safe? And Ahimaaz {answered}, When Joab sent the king's servant,
and
[me] thy servant, I saw a great tumult, but I knew not what [it
was].
answered <2SA18 -32> And the king said unto Cushi, Is the young
man
Absalom safe? And Cushi {answered}, The enemies of my lord the
king,
and all that rise against thee to do [thee] hurt, be as [that]
young
man [is].
answered <2SA19 -21> But Abishai the son of Zeruiah {answered}
and
said, Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he
cursed
the LORD'S anointed?
answered <2SA19 -26> And he {answered}, My lord, O king, my
servant
deceived me: for thy servant said, I will saddle me an ass, that
I
may ride thereon, and go to the king; because thy servant [is]
lame.
answered <2SA19 -38> And the king {answered}, Chimham shall go
over
with me, and I will do to him that which shall seem good unto
thee:
and whatsoever thou shalt require of me, [that] will I do for
thee.
answered <2SA19 -42> And all the men of Judah {answered} the men
of
Israel, Because the king [is] near of kin to us: wherefore then
be
ye angry for this matter? have we eaten at all of the king's
[cost]?
or hath he given us any gift?
answered <2SA19 -43> And the men of Israel {answered} the men of
Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also
more [right] in David than ye: why then did ye despise us, that
our
advice should not be first had in bringing back our king?
And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of
the men of Israel.
answered <2SA20 -17> And when he was come near unto her, the
woman
said, [Art] thou Joab? And he answered, I [am he]. Then she said
unto him, Hear the words of thine handmaid. And he {answered}, I
do
hear.
answered <2SA20 -17> And when he was come near unto her, the
woman
said, [Art] thou Joab? And he {answered}, I [am he]. Then she
said
unto him, Hear the words of thine handmaid. And he answered, I do
hear.
answered <2SA20 -20> And Joab {answered} and said, Far be it,
far be
it from me, that I should swallow up or destroy.
answered <2SA21 -1> Then there was a famine in the days of David
three years, year after year; and David inquired of the LORD. And
the LORD {answered}, [It is] for Saul, and for [his] bloody
house,
because he slew the Gibeonites.
answered <2SA21 -5> And they {answered} the king, The man that
consumed us, and that devised against us [that] we should be
destroyed from remaining in any of the coasts of Israel,
answered <2SA22 -42> They looked, but [there was] none to save;
[even] unto the LORD, but he {answered} them not.
answered <1KI1 -28> Then king David {answered} and said, Call me
Bathsheba. And she came into the king's presence, and stood
before
the king.
answered <1KI1 -36> And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada {answered}
the
king, and said, Amen: the LORD God of my lord the king say so
[too].
answered <1KI1 -43> And Jonathan {answered} and said to Adonijah,
Verily our lord king David hath made Solomon king.
answered <1KI2 -22> And king Solomon {answered} and said unto his
mother, And why dost thou ask Abishag the Shunammite for
Adonijah?
ask for him the kingdom also; for he [is] mine elder brother;
even
for him, and for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab the
son of Zeruiah.
answered <1KI2 -30> And Benaiah came to the tabernacle of the
LORD,
and said unto him, Thus saith the king, Come forth. And he said,
Nay; but I will die here. And Benaiah brought the king word
again,
saying, Thus said Joab, and thus he {answered} me.
answered <1KI3 -27> Then the king {answered} and said, Give her
the
living child, and in no wise slay it: she [is] the mother
thereof.
answered <1KI11 -22> Then Pharaoh said unto him, But what hast
thou
lacked with me, that, behold, thou seekest to go to thine own
country? And he {answered}, Nothing: howbeit let me go in any
wise.
answered <1KI12 -13> And the king {answered} the people roughly,
and
forsook the old men's counsel that they gave him;
answered <1KI12 -16> So when all Israel saw that the king
hearkened
not unto them, the people {answered} the king, saying, What
portion
have we in David? neither [have we] inheritance in the son of
Jesse:
to your tents, O Israel: now see to thine own hous
e, David. So Israel departed unto their tents.
answered <1KI13 -6> And the king {answered} and said unto the
man of
God, Entreat now the face of the LORD thy God, and pray for me,
that
my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God besought the
LORD, and the king's hand was restored him again, a
nd became as [it was] before.
answered <1KI18 -8> And he {answered} him, I [am]: go, tell thy
lord, Behold, Elijah [is here].
answered <1KI18 -18> And he {answered}, I have not troubled
Israel;
but thou, and thy father's house, in that ye have forsaken the
commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.
answered <1KI18 -21> And Elijah came unto all the people, and
said,
How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD [be] God,
follow
him: but if Baal, [then] follow him. And the people {answered}
him
not a word.
answered <1KI18 -24> And call ye on the name of your gods, and I
will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by
fire, let him be God. And all the people {answered} and said, It
is
well spoken.
answered <1KI18 -26> And they took the bullock which was given
them,
and they dressed [it], and called on the name of Baal from
morning
even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But [there was] no
voice,
nor any that {answered}. And they leaped upon the a
ltar which was made.
answered <1KI20 -4> And the king of Israel {answered} and said,
My
lord, O king, according to thy saying, I [am] thine, and all
that I
have.
answered <1KI20 -11> And the king of Israel {answered} and said,
Tell [him], Let not him that girdeth on [his harness] boast
himself
as he that putteth it off.
answered <1KI20 -14> And Ahab said, By whom? And he said, Thus
saith
the LORD, [Even] by the young men of the princes of the
provinces.
Then he said, Who shall order the battle? And he {answered},
Thou.
answered <1KI21 -6> And he said unto her, Because I spake unto
Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard
for
money; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee [another]
vineyard for it: and he {answered}, I will not give thee my vin
eyard.
answered <1KI21 -20> And Ahab said to Elijah, hast thou found me,
O
mine enemy? And he {answered}, I have found [thee]; because thou
hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of the LORD.
answered <1KI22 -15> So he came to the king. And the king said
unto
him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramothgilead to battle, or
shall
we forbear? And he {answered} him, Go, and prosper: for the LORD
shall deliver [it] into the hand of the king.
answered <2KI1 -8> And they {answered} him, [He was] an hairy
man,
and girt with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said,
It
[is] Elijah the Tishbite.
answered <2KI1 -10> And Elijah {answered} and said to the
captain of
fifty, If I [be] a man of God, then let fire come down from
heaven,
and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from
heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
answered <2KI1 -11> Again also he sent unto him another captain
of
fifty with his fifty. And he {answered} and said unto him, O man
of
God, thus hath the king said, Come down quickly.
answered <2KI1 -12> And Elijah {answered} and said unto them, If
I
[be] a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume
thee
and thy fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven, and
consumed him and his fifty.
answered <2KI2 -5> And the sons of the prophets that [were] at
Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the
LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he
{answered}, Yea, I know [it]; hold ye your peace.
answered <2KI3 -8> And he said, Which way shall we go up? And he
{answered}, The way through the wilderness of Edom.
answered <2KI3 -11> But Jehoshaphat said, [Is there] not here a
prophet of the LORD, that we may inquire of the LORD by him? And
one
of the king of Israel's servants {answered} and said, Here [is]
Elisha the son of Shaphat, which poured water on the hands
of Elijah.
answered <2KI4 -13> And he said unto him, Say now unto her,
Behold,
thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what [is] to be
done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the
captain of the host? And she {answered}, I dwell among
mine own people.
answered <2KI4 -14> And he said, What then [is] to be done for
her?
And Gehazi {answered}, Verily she hath no child, and her husband
is
old.
answered <2KI4 -26> Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say
unto
her, [Is it] well with thee? [is it] well with thy husband? [is
it]
well with the child? And she {answered}, [It is] well.
answered <2KI6 -2> Let us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take
thence every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where
we
may dwell. And he {answered}, Go ye.
answered <2KI6 -3> And one said, Be content, I pray thee, and go
with thy servants. And he {answered}, I will go.
answered <2KI6 -16> And he {answered}, Fear not: for they that
[be]
with us [are] more than they that [be] with them.
answered <2KI6 -22> And he {answered}, Thou shalt not smite
[them]:
wouldest thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy
sword and with thy bow? set bread and water before them, that
they
may eat and drink, and go to their master.
answered <2KI6 -28> And the king said unto her, What aileth thee?
And she {answered}, This woman said unto me, Give thy son, that
we
may eat him to day, and we will eat my son to morrow.
answered <2KI7 -2> Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned
{answered} the man of God, and said, Behold, [if] the LORD would
make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold,
thou shalt see [it] with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
answered <2KI7 -13> And one of his servants {answered} and said,
Let
[some] take, I pray thee, five of the horses that remain, which
are
left in the city, (behold, they [are] as all the multitude of
Israel
that are left in it: behold, [I say], they [are]
even as all the multitude of the Israelites that are consumed:)
and
let us send and see.
answered <2KI7 -19> And that lord {answered} the man of God, and
said, Now, behold, [if] the LORD should make windows in heaven,
might such a thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it
with
thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
answered <2KI8 -12> And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he
{answered}, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the
children of Israel: their strong holds wilt thou set on fire, and
their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash
their children, and rip up their women with child.
answered <2KI8 -13> And Hazael said, But what, [is] thy servant a
dog, that he should do this great thing? And Elisha {answered},
The
LORD hath showed me that thou [shalt be] king over Syria.
answered <2KI8 -14> So he departed from Elisha, and came to his
master; who said to him, What said Elisha to thee? And he
{answered}, He told me [that] thou shouldest surely recover.
answered <2KI9 -19> Then he sent out a second on horseback, which
came to them, and said, Thus saith the king, [Is it] peace? And
Jehu
{answered}, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.
answered <2KI9 -22> And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu,
that
he said, [Is it] peace, Jehu? And he {answered}, What peace, so
long
as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts [are
so]
many?
answered <2KI10 -13> Jehu met with the brethren of Ahaziah king
of
Judah, and said, Who [are] ye? And they {answered}, We [are] the
brethren of Ahaziah; and we go down to salute the children of the
king and the children of the queen.
answered <2KI10 -15> And when he was departed thence, he lighted
on
Jehonadab the son of Rechab [coming] to meet him: and he saluted
him, and said to him, Is thine heart right, as my heart [is] with
thy heart? And Jehonadab {answered}, It is. If it be, gi
ve [me] thine hand. And he gave [him] his hand; and he took him
up
to him into the chariot.
answered <2KI18 -36> But the people held their peace, and
{answered}
him not a word: for the king's commandment was, saying, Answer
him
not.
answered <2KI20 -10> And Hezekiah {answered}, It is a light thing
for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow
return backward ten degrees.
answered <2KI20 -15> And he said, What have they seen in thine
house? And Hezekiah {answered}, All [the things] that [are] in
mine
house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I
have not showed them.
answered <1CH12 -17> And David went out to meet them, and
{answered}
and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me,
mine
heart shall be knit unto you: but if [ye be come] to betray me to
mine enemies, seeing [there is] no wrong in mine ha
nds, the God of our fathers look [thereon], and rebuke [it].
answered <1CH21 -3> And Joab {answered}, The LORD make his
people an
hundred times so many more as they [be]: but, my lord the king,
[are] they not all my lord's servants? why then doth my lord
require
this thing? why will he be a cause of trespass to Isr
ael?
answered <1CH21 -26> And David built there an altar unto the
LORD,
and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon
the
LORD; and he {answered} him from heaven by fire upon the altar of
burnt offering.
answered <1CH21 -28> At that time when David saw that the LORD
had
{answered} him in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite, then
he
sacrificed there.
answered <2CH2 -11> Then Huram the king of Tyre {answered} in
writing, which he sent to Solomon, Because the LORD hath loved
his
people, he hath made thee king over them.
answered <2CH7 -22> And it shall be {answered}, Because they
forsook
the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of
the
land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them,
and
served them: therefore hath he brought all this ev
il upon them.
answered <2CH10 -13> And the king {answered} them roughly; and
king
Rehoboam forsook the counsel of the old men,
answered <2CH10 -14> And {answered} them after the advice of the
young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add
thereto: my father chastised you with whips, but I [will chastise
you] with scorpions.
answered <2CH10 -16> And when all Israel [saw] that the king
would
not hearken unto them, the people {answered} the king, saying,
What
portion have we in David? and [we have] none inheritance in the
son
of Jesse: every man to your tents, O Israel: [and] n
ow, David, see to thine own house. So all Israel went to their
tents.
answered <2CH18 -3> And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat
king of Judah, Wilt thou go with me to Ramothgilead? And he
{answered} him, I [am] as thou [art], and my people as thy
people;
and [we will be] with thee in the war.
answered <2CH25 -9> And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what
shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the
army
of Israel? And the man of God {answered}, The LORD is able to
give
thee much more than this.
answered <2CH29 -31> Then Hezekiah {answered} and said, Now ye
have
consecrated yourselves unto the LORD, come near and bring
sacrifices
and thank offerings into the house of the LORD. And the
congregation
brought in sacrifices and thank offerings; and as
many as were of a free heart burnt offerings.
answered <2CH31 -10> And Azariah the chief priest of the house of
Zadok {answered} him, and said, Since [the people] began to bring
the offerings into the house of the LORD, we have had enough to
eat,
and have left plenty: for the LORD hath blessed his pe
ople; and that which is left [is] this great store.
answered <2CH34 -15> And Hilkiah {answered} and said to Shaphan
the
scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the
LORD.
And Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan.
answered <2CH34 -23> And she {answered} them, Thus saith the LORD
God of Israel, Tell ye the man that sent you to me,
answered <EZR10 -2> And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, [one] of
the
sons of Elam, {answered} and said unto Ezra, We have trespassed
against our God, and have taken strange wives of the people of
the
land: yet now there is hope in Israel concerning this thi
ng.
answered <EZR10 -12> Then all the congregation {answered} and
said
with a loud voice, As thou hast said, so must we do.
answered <NEH2 -20> Then {answered} I them, and said unto them,
The
God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will
arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial,
in
Jerusalem.
answered <NEH6 -4> Yet they sent unto me four times after this
sort;
and I {answered} them after the same manner.
answered <NEH8 -6> And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And
all
the people {answered}, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands:
and
they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with [their]
faces
to the ground.
answered <EST1 -16> And Memucan {answered} before the king and
the
princes, Vashti the queen hath not done wrong to the king only,
but
also to all the princes, and to all the people that [are] in all
the
provinces of the king Ahasuerus.
answered <EST5 -4> And Esther {answered}, If [it seem] good unto
the
king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet that
I
have prepared for him.
answered <EST5 -7> Then {answered} Esther, and said, My petition
and
my request [is];
answered <EST6 -7> And Haman {answered} the king, For the man
whom
the king delighteth to honour,
answered <EST7 -3> Then Esther the queen {answered} and said, If
I
have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the
king,
let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my
request:
answered <EST7 -5> Then the king Ahasuerus {answered} and said
unto
Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume
in
his heart to do so?
answered <JOB1 -7> And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest
thou?
Then Satan {answered} the LORD, and said, From going to and fro
in
the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
answered <JOB1 -9> Then Satan {answered} the LORD, and said, Doth
Job fear God for nought?
answered <JOB2 -2> And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence
comest
thou? And Satan {answered} the LORD, and said, From going to and
fro
in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
answered <JOB2 -4> And Satan {answered} the LORD, and said, Skin
for
skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.
answered <JOB4 -1> Then Eliphaz the Temanite {answered} and said,
answered <JOB6 -1> But Job {answered} and said,
answered <JOB8 -1> Then {answered} Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
answered <JOB9 -1> Then Job {answered} and said,
answered <JOB9 -16> If I had called, and he had {answered} me;
[yet]
would I not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice.
answered <JOB11 -1> Then {answered} Zophar the Naamathite, and
said,
answered <JOB11 -2> Should not the multitude of words be
{answered}?
and should a man full of talk be justified?
answered <JOB12 -1> And Job {answered} and said,
answered <JOB15 -1> Then {answered} Eliphaz the Temanite, and
said,
answered <JOB16 -1> Then Job {answered} and said,
answered <JOB18 -1> Then {answered} Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
answered <JOB19 -1> Then Job {answered} and said,
answered <JOB20 -1> Then {answered} Zophar the Naamathite, and
said,
answered <JOB21 -1> But Job {answered} and said,
answered <JOB22 -1> Then Eliphaz the Temanite {answered} and
said,
answered <JOB23 -1> Then Job {answered} and said,
answered <JOB25 -1> Then {answered} Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
answered <JOB26 -1> But Job {answered} and said,
answered <JOB32 -6> And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite
{answered} and said, I [am] young, and ye [are] very old;
wherefore
I was afraid, and durst not show you mine opinion.
answered <JOB32 -12> Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold,
[there
was] none of you that convinced Job, [or] that {answered} his
words:
answered <JOB32 -15> They were amazed, they {answered} no more:
they
left off speaking.
answered <JOB32 -16> When I had waited, (for they spake not, but
stood still, [and] {answered} no more;)
answered <JOB34 -1> Furthermore Elihu {answered} and said,
answered <JOB38 -1> Then the LORD {answered} Job out of the
whirlwind, and said,
answered <JOB40 -1> Moreover the LORD {answered} Job, and said,
answered <JOB40 -3> Then Job {answered} the LORD, and said,
answered <JOB40 -6> Then {answered} the LORD unto Job out of the
whirlwind, and said,
answered <JOB42 -1> Then Job {answered} the LORD, and said,
answered <PSA18 -41> They cried, but [there was] none to save
[them:
even] unto the LORD, but he {answered} them not.
answered <PSA81 -7> Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered
thee;
I {answered} thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee
at
the waters of Meribah. Selah.
answered <PSA99 -6> Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel
among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD,
and
he {answered} them.
answered <PSA118 -5> I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD
{answered} me, [and set me] in a large place.
answered <ISA6 -11> Then said I, Lord, how long? And he
{answered},
Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses
without man, and the land be utterly desolate,
answered <ISA21 -9> And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men,
[with] a couple of horsemen. And he {answered} and said, Babylon
is
fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath
broken unto the ground.
answered <ISA36 -21> But they held their peace, and {answered}
him
not a word: for the king's commandment was, saying, Answer him
not.
answered <ISA39 -4> Then said he, What have they seen in thine
house? And Hezekiah {answered}, All that [is] in mine house have
they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not
showed them.
answered <JER7 -13> And now, because ye have done all these
works,
saith the LORD, and I spake unto you, rising up early and
speaking,
but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye {answered} not;
answered <JER11 -5> That I may perform the oath which I have
sworn
unto your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and
honey,
as [it is] this day. Then {answered} I, and said, So be it, O
LORD.
answered <JER23 -35> Thus shall ye say every one to his
neighbour,
and every one to his brother, What hath the LORD {answered}? and,
What hath the LORD spoken?
answered <JER23 -37> Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What
hath
the LORD {answered} thee? and, What hath the LORD spoken?
answered <JER35 -17> Therefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts,
the
God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the
inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced
against
them: because I have spoken unto them, but they have
not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not
{answered}.
answered <JER36 -18> Then Baruch {answered} them, He pronounced
all
these words unto me with his mouth, and I wrote [them] with ink
in
the book.
answered <JER44 -15> Then all the men which knew that their wives
had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood
by,
a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of
Egypt, in Pathros, {answered} Jeremiah, saying,
answered <EZE24 -20> Then I {answered} them, The word of the LORD
came unto me, saying,
answered <EZE37 -3> And he said unto me, Son of man, can these
bones
live? And I {answered}, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.
answered <DAN2 -5> The king {answered} and said to the Chaldeans,
The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto me the
dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in
pieces,
and your houses shall be made a dunghill.
answered <DAN2 -7> They {answered} again and said, Let the king
tell
his servants the dream, and we will show the interpretation of
it.
answered <DAN2 -8> The king {answered} and said, I know of
certainty
that ye would gain the time, because ye see the thing is gone
from
me.
answered <DAN2 -10> The Chaldeans {answered} before the king, and
said, There is not a man upon the earth that can show the king's
matter: therefore [there is] no king, lord, nor ruler, [that]
asked
such things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean.
answered <DAN2 -14> Then Daniel {answered} with counsel and
wisdom
to Arioch the captain of the king's guard, which was gone forth
to
slay the wise [men] of Babylon:
answered <DAN2 -15> He {answered} and said to Arioch the king's
captain, Why [is] the decree [so] hasty from the king? Then
Arioch
made the thing known to Daniel.
answered <DAN2 -20> Daniel {answered} and said, Blessed be the
name
of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
answered <DAN2 -26> The king {answered} and said to Daniel, whose
name [was] Belteshazzar, Art thou able to make known unto me the
dream which I have seen, and the interpretation thereof?
answered <DAN2 -27> Daniel {answered} in the presence of the
king,
and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise
[men], the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, show unto
the king;
answered <DAN2 -47> The king {answered} unto Daniel, and said,
Of a
truth [it is], that your God [is] a God of gods, and a Lord of
kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal
this
secret.
answered <DAN3 -16> Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, {answered}
and
said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we [are] not careful to
answer
thee in this matter.
answered <DAN3 -24> Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied,
and
rose up in haste, [and] spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did
not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They
{answered} and said unto the king, True, O king.
answered <DAN3 -25> He {answered} and said, Lo, I see four men
loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt;
and
the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
answered <DAN4 -19> Then Daniel, whose name [was] Belteshazzar,
was
astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king
spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the
interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar {answered}
and s
aid, My lord, the dream [be] to them that hate thee, and the
interpretation thereof to thine enemies.
answered <DAN5 -17> Then Daniel {answered} and said before the
king,
Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another;
yet I
will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the
interpretation.
answered <DAN6 -12> Then they came near, and spake before the
king
concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that
every man that shall ask [a petition] of any God or man within
thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the d
en of lions? The king {answered} and said, The thing [is] true,
according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth
not.
answered <DAN6 -13> Then {answered} they and said before the
king,
That Daniel, which [is] of the children of the captivity of
Judah,
regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed,
but maketh his petition three times a day.
answered <AMO7 -14> Then {answered} Amos, and said to Amaziah, I
[was] no prophet, neither [was] I a prophet's son; but I [was] an
herdman, and a gatherer of sycamore fruit:
answered <MIC6 -5> O my people, remember now what Balak king of
Moab
consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor {answered} him from
Shittim unto Gilgal; that ye may know the righteousness of the
LORD.
answered <HAB2 -2> And the LORD {answered} me, and said, Write
the
vision, and make [it] plain upon tables, that he may run that
readeth it.
answered <HAG2 -12> If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his
garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine,
or
oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests {answered}
and
said, No.
answered <HAG2 -13> Then said Haggai, If [one that is] unclean
by a
dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the
priests
{answered} and said, It shall be unclean.
answered <HAG2 -14> Then {answered} Haggai, and said, So [is]
this
people, and so [is] this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so
[is] every work of their hands; and that which they offer there
[is]
unclean.
answered <ZEC1 -10> And the man that stood among the myrtle trees
{answered} and said, These [are they] whom the LORD hath sent to
walk to and fro through the earth.
answered <ZEC1 -11> And they {answered} the angel of the LORD
that
stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro
through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and
is
at rest.
answered <ZEC1 -12> Then the angel of the LORD {answered} and
said,
O LORD of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem
and
on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation
these threescore and ten years?
answered <ZEC1 -13> And the LORD {answered} the angel that talked
with me [with] good words [and] comfortable words.
answered <ZEC1 -19> And I said unto the angel that talked with
me,
What [be] these? And he {answered} me, These [are] the horns
which
have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.
answered <ZEC3 -4> And he {answered} and spake unto those that
stood
before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And
unto
him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from
thee,
and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
answered <ZEC4 -4> So I {answered} and spake to the angel that
talked with me, saying, What [are] these, my lord?
answered <ZEC4 -5> Then the angel that talked with me {answered}
and
said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my
lord.
answered <ZEC4 -6> Then he {answered} and spake unto me, saying,
This [is] the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by
might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
answered <ZEC4 -11> Then {answered} I, and said unto him, What
[are]
these two olive trees upon the right [side] of the candlestick
and
upon the left [side] thereof?
answered <ZEC4 -12> And I {answered} again, and said unto him,
What
[be these] two olive branches which through the two golden pipes
empty the golden [oil] out of themselves?
answered <ZEC4 -13> And he {answered} me and said, Knowest thou
not
what these [be]? And I said, No, my lord.
answered <ZEC5 -2> And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I
{answered}, I see a flying roll; the length thereof [is] twenty
cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.
answered <ZEC6 -4> Then I {answered} and said unto the angel that
talked with me, What [are] these, my lord?
answered <ZEC6 -5> And the angel {answered} and said unto me,
These
[are] the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from
standing
before the Lord of all the earth.
answered <MAT4 -4> But he {answered} and said, It is written, Man
shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth
out
of the mouth of God.
answered <MAT8 -8> The centurion {answered} and said, Lord, I am
not
worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word
only, and my servant shall be healed.
answered <MAT11 -4> Jesus {answered} and said unto them, Go and
show
John again those things which ye do hear and see:
answered <MAT11 -25> At that time Jesus {answered} and said, I
thank
thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid
these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them
unto
babes.
answered <MAT12 -38> Then certain of the scribes and of the
Pharisees {answered}, saying, Master, we would see a sign from
thee.
answered <MAT12 -39> But he {answered} and said unto them, An
evil
and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall
no
sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
answered <MAT12 -48> But he {answered} and said unto him that
told
him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
answered <MAT13 -11> He {answered} and said unto them, Because
it is
given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven,
but
to them it is not given.
answered <MAT13 -37> He {answered} and said unto them, He that
soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
answered <MAT14 -28> And Peter {answered} him and said, Lord, if
it
be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
answered <MAT15 -3> But he {answered} and said unto them, Why do
ye
also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
answered <MAT15 -13> But he {answered} and said, Every plant,
which
my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
answered <MAT15 -15> Then {answered} Peter and said unto him,
Declare unto us this parable.
answered <MAT15 -23> But he {answered} her not a word. And his
disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she
crieth after us.
answered <MAT15 -24> But he {answered} and said, I am not sent
but
unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
answered <MAT15 -26> But he {answered} and said, It is not meet
to
take the children's bread, and cast [it] to dogs.
answered <MAT15 -28> Then Jesus {answered} and said unto her, O
woman, great [is] thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt.
And
her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
answered <MAT16 -2> He {answered} and said unto them, When it is
evening, ye say, [It will be] fair weather: for the sky is red.
answered <MAT16 -16> And Simon Peter {answered} and said, Thou
art
the Christ, the Son of the living God.
answered <MAT16 -17> And Jesus {answered} and said unto him,
Blessed
art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed
[it]
unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
answered <MAT17 -4> Then {answered} Peter, and said unto Jesus,
Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make
here
three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for
Elias.
answered <MAT17 -11> And Jesus {answered} and said unto them,
Elias
truly shall first come, and restore all things.
answered <MAT17 -17> Then Jesus {answered} and said, O faithless
and
perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long
shall I
suffer you? bring him hither to me.
answered <MAT19 -4> And he {answered} and said unto them, Have ye
not read, that he which made [them] at the beginning made them
male
and female,
answered <MAT19 -27> Then {answered} Peter and said unto him,
Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we
have
therefore?
answered <MAT20 -13> But he {answered} one of them, and said,
Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a
penny?
answered <MAT20 -22> But Jesus {answered} and said, Ye know not
what
ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of,
and
to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say
unto him, We are able.
answered <MAT21 -21> Jesus {answered} and said unto them, Verily
I
say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only
do
this [which is done] to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say
unto
this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast int
o the sea; it shall be done.
answered <MAT21 -24> And Jesus {answered} and said unto them, I
also
will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will
tell you by what authority I do these things.
answered <MAT21 -27> And they {answered} Jesus, and said, We
cannot
tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what
authority I
do these things.
answered <MAT21 -29> He {answered} and said, I will not: but
afterward he repented, and went.
answered <MAT21 -30> And he came to the second, and said
likewise.
And he {answered} and said, I [go], sir: and went not.
answered <MAT22 -1> And Jesus {answered} and spake unto them
again
by parables, and said,
answered <MAT22 -29> Jesus {answered} and said unto them, Ye do
err,
not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
answered <MAT24 -4> And Jesus {answered} and said unto them, Take
heed that no man deceive you.
answered <MAT25 -9> But the wise {answered}, saying, [Not so];
lest
there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that
sell, and buy for yourselves.
answered <MAT25 -12> But he {answered} and said, Verily I say
unto
you, I know you not.
answered <MAT25 -26> His lord {answered} and said unto him,
[Thou]
wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I
sowed
not, and gather where I have not strowed:
answered <MAT26 -23> And he {answered} and said, He that dippeth
[his] hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.
answered <MAT26 -25> Then Judas, which betrayed him, {answered}
and
said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.
answered <MAT26 -33> Peter {answered} and said unto him, Though
all
[men] shall be offended because of thee, [yet] will I never be
offended.
answered <MAT26 -63> But Jesus held his peace. And the high
priest
{answered} and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God,
that
thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
answered <MAT26 -66> What think ye? They {answered} and said, He
is
guilty of death.
answered <MAT27 -12> And when he was accused of the chief priests
and elders, he {answered} nothing.
answered <MAT27 -14> And he {answered} him to never a word;
insomuch
that the governor marvelled greatly.
answered <MAT27 -21> The governor {answered} and said unto them,
Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said,
Barabbas.
answered <MAT27 -25> Then {answered} all the people, and said,
His
blood [be] on us, and on our children.
answered <MAT28 -5> And the angel {answered} and said unto the
women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was
crucified.
answered <MAR3 -33> And he {answered} them, saying, Who is my
mother, or my brethren?
answered <MAR5 -9> And he asked him, What is] thy name? And he
{answered}, saying, My name is] Legion: for we are many.
answered <MAR6 -37> He {answered} and said unto them, Give ye
them
to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred
pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?
answered <MAR7 -6> He {answered} and said unto them, Well hath
Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This
people
honoureth me with their] lips, but their heart is far from me.
answered <MAR7 -28> And she {answered} and said unto him, Yes,
Lord:
yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.
answered <MAR8 -4> And his disciples {answered} him, From whence
can
a man satisfy these men] with bread here in the wilderness?
answered <MAR8 -28> And they {answered}, John the Baptist: but
some
say], Elias; and others, One of the prophets.
answered <MAR9 -5> And Peter {answered} and said to Jesus,
Master,
it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles;
one
for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
answered <MAR9 -12> And he {answered} and told them, Elias verily
cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of
the
Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at
nought.
answered <MAR9 -17> And one of the multitude {answered} and said,
Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb
spirit;
answered <MAR9 -38> And John {answered} him, saying, Master, we
saw
one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and
we
forbad him, because he followeth not us.
answered <MAR10 -3> And he {answered} and said unto them, What
did
Moses command you?
answered <MAR10 -5> And Jesus {answered} and said unto them, For
the
hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.
answered <MAR10 -20> And he {answered} and said unto him, Master,
all these have I observed from my youth.
answered <MAR10 -29> And Jesus {answered} and said, Verily I say
unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or
sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands,
for
my sake, and the gospel's,
answered <MAR10 -51> And Jesus {answered} and said unto him, What
wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto
him,
Lord, that I might receive my sight.
answered <MAR11 -14> And Jesus {answered} and said unto it, No
man
eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard
it].
answered <MAR11 -29> And Jesus {answered} and said unto them, I
will
also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you
by
what authority I do these things.
answered <MAR11 -33> And they {answered} and said unto Jesus, We
cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I
tell
you by what authority I do these things.
answered <MAR12 -28> And one of the scribes came, and having
heard
them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had {answered}
them
well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
answered <MAR12 -29> And Jesus {answered} him, The first of all
the
commandments is], Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
answered <MAR12 -34> And when Jesus saw that he {answered}
discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom
of
God. And no man after that durst ask him any question].
answered <MAR12 -35> And Jesus {answered} and said, while he
taught
in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the son of
David?
answered <MAR14 -20> And he {answered} and said unto them, It is]
one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.
answered <MAR14 -48> And Jesus {answered} and said unto them,
Are ye
come out, as against a thief, with swords and with] staves to
take
me?
answered <MAR14 -61> But he held his peace, and {answered}
nothing.
Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the
Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
answered <MAR15 -3> And the chief priests accused him of many
things: but he {answered} nothing.
answered <MAR15 -5> But Jesus yet {answered} nothing; so that
Pilate
marvelled.
answered <MAR15 -9> But Pilate {answered} them, saying, Will ye
that
I release unto you the King of the Jews?
answered <MAR15 -12> And Pilate {answered} and said again unto
them,
What will ye then that I shall do unto him] whom ye call the
King of
the Jews?
answered <LUK1 -35> And the angel {answered} and said unto her,
The
Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest
shall
overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be
born
of thee shall be called the Son of God.
answered <LUK1 -60> And his mother {answered} and said, Not so];
but
he shall be called John.
answered <LUK3 -16> John {answered}, saying unto them] all, I
indeed
baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the
latchet
of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you
with
the Holy Ghost and with fire:
answered <LUK4 -4> And Jesus {answered} him, saying, It is
written,
That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
answered <LUK4 -8> And Jesus {answered} and said unto him, Get
thee
behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord
thy
God, and him only shalt thou serve.
answered <LUK7 -43> Simon {answered} and said, I suppose that
he],
to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly
judged.
answered <LUK8 -21> And he {answered} and said unto them, My
mother
and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.
answered <LUK8 -50> But when Jesus heard it], he {answered} him,
saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.
answered <LUK9 -49> And John {answered} and said, Master, we saw
one
casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he
followeth not with us.
answered <LUK10 -28> And he said unto him, Thou hast {answered}
right: this do, and thou shalt live.
answered <LUK10 -41> And Jesus {answered} and said unto her,
Martha,
Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
answered <LUK11 -45> Then {answered} one of the lawyers, and said
unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also.
answered <LUK13 -14> And the ruler of the synagogue {answered}
with
indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day,
and
said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to
work:
in them therefore come and be healed, and not on th
e sabbath day.
answered <LUK13 -15> The Lord then {answered} him, and said,
Thou]
hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox
or
his] ass from the stall, and lead him] away to watering?
answered <LUK14 -5> And {answered} them, saying, Which of you
shall
have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway
pull him out on the sabbath day?
answered <LUK17 -20> And when he was demanded of the Pharisees,
when
the kingdom of God should come, he {answered} them and said, The
kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
answered <LUK17 -37> And they {answered} and said unto him,
Where,
Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is], thither
will
the eagles be gathered together.
answered <LUK19 -40> And he {answered} and said unto them, I tell
you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would
immediately cry out.
answered <LUK20 -3> And he {answered} and said unto them, I will
also ask you one thing; and answer me:
answered <LUK20 -7> And they {answered}, that they could not tell
whence it was].
answered <LUK20 -24> Show me a penny. Whose image and
superscription
hath it? They {answered} and said, Caesar's.
answered <LUK22 -51> And Jesus {answered} and said, Suffer ye
thus
far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.
answered <LUK23 -3> And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the
King
of the Jews? And he {answered} him and said, Thou sayest it].
answered <LUK23 -9> Then he questioned with him in many words;
but
he {answered} him nothing.
answered <JOH1 -21> And they asked him, What then? Art thou
Elias?
And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he {answered},
No.
answered <JOH1 -26> John {answered} them, saying, I baptize with
water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;
answered <JOH1 -48> Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou
me? Jesus {answered} and said unto him, Before that Philip called
thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
answered <JOH1 -49> Nathanael {answered} and saith unto him,
Rabbi,
thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
answered <JOH1 -50> Jesus {answered} and said unto him, Because I
said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou?
thou
shalt see greater things than these.
answered <JOH2 -18> Then {answered} the Jews and said unto him,
What
sign showest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?
answered <JOH2 -19> Jesus {answered} and said unto them, Destroy
this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
answered <JOH3 -3> Jesus {answered} and said unto him, Verily,
verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot
see
the kingdom of God.
answered <JOH3 -5> Jesus {answered}, Verily, verily, I say unto
thee, Except a man be born of water and of] the Spirit, he cannot
enter into the kingdom of God.
answered <JOH3 -9> Nicodemus {answered} and said unto him, How
can
these things be?
answered <JOH3 -10> Jesus {answered} and said unto him, Art thou
a
master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
answered <JOH3 -27> John {answered} and said, A man can receive
nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
answered <JOH4 -10> Jesus {answered} and said unto her, If thou
knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give
me
to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have
given
thee living water.
answered <JOH4 -13> Jesus {answered} and said unto her, Whosoever
drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
answered <JOH4 -17> The woman {answered} and said, I have no
husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no
husband:
answered <JOH5 -7> The impotent man {answered} him, Sir, I have
no
man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but
while
I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
answered <JOH5 -11> He {answered} them, He that made me whole,
the
same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.
answered <JOH5 -17> But Jesus {answered} them, My Father worketh
hitherto, and I work.
answered <JOH5 -19> Then {answered} Jesus and said unto them,
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of
himself,
but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth,
these also doeth the Son likewise.
answered <JOH6 -7> Philip {answered} him, Two hundred pennyworth
of
bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may
take a
little.
answered <JOH6 -26> Jesus {answered} them and said, Verily,
verily,
I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but
because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.
answered <JOH6 -29> Jesus {answered} and said unto them, This is
the
work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
answered <JOH6 -43> Jesus therefore {answered} and said unto
them,
Murmur not among yourselves.
answered <JOH6 -68> Then Simon Peter {answered} him, Lord, to
whom
shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
answered <JOH6 -70> Jesus {answered} them, Have not I chosen you
twelve, and one of you is a devil?
answered <JOH7 -16> Jesus {answered} them, and said, My doctrine
is
not mine, but his that sent me.
answered <JOH7 -20> The people {answered} and said, Thou hast a
devil: who goeth about to kill thee?
answered <JOH7 -21> Jesus {answered} and said unto them, I have
done
one work, and ye all marvel.
answered <JOH7 -46> The officers {answered}, Never man spake like
this man.
answered <JOH7 -47> Then {answered} them the Pharisees, Are ye
also
deceived?
answered <JOH7 -52> They {answered} and said unto him, Art thou
also
of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no
prophet.
answered <JOH8 -14> Jesus {answered} and said unto them, Though I
bear record of myself, yet] my record is true: for I know whence
I
came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and
whither I go.
answered <JOH8 -19> Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father?
Jesus {answered}, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had
known
me, ye should have known my Father also.
answered <JOH8 -33> They {answered} him, We be Abraham's seed,
and
were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be
made
free?
answered <JOH8 -34> Jesus {answered} them, Verily, verily, I say
unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
answered <JOH8 -39> They {answered} and said unto him, Abraham is
our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children,
ye
would do the works of Abraham.
answered <JOH8 -48> Then {answered} the Jews, and said unto him,
Say
we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?
answered <JOH8 -49> Jesus {answered}, I have not a devil; but I
honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.
answered <JOH8 -54> Jesus {answered}, If I honour myself, my
honour
is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say,
that
he is your God:
answered <JOH9 -3> Jesus {answered}, Neither hath this man
sinned,
nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made
manifest
in him.
answered <JOH9 -11> He {answered} and said, A man that is called
Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to
the
pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received
sight.
answered <JOH9 -20> His parents {answered} them and said, We know
that this is our son, and that he was born blind:
answered <JOH9 -25> He {answered} and said, Whether he be a
sinner
or no], I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind,
now
I see.
answered <JOH9 -27> He {answered} them, I have told you already,
and
ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it] again? will ye also
be
his disciples?
answered <JOH9 -30> The man {answered} and said unto them, Why
herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is,
and yet] he hath opened mine eyes.
answered <JOH9 -34> They {answered} and said unto him, Thou wast
altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast
him
out.
answered <JOH9 -36> He {answered} and said, Who is he, Lord,
that I
might believe on him?
answered <JOH10 -25> Jesus {answered} them, I told you, and ye
believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear
witness of me.
answered <JOH10 -32> Jesus {answered} them, Many good works have
I
showed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone
me?
answered <JOH10 -33> The Jews {answered} him, saying, For a good
work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou,
being a man, makest thyself God.
answered <JOH10 -34> Jesus {answered} them, Is it not written in
your law, I said, Ye are gods?
answered <JOH11 -9> Jesus {answered}, Are there not twelve hours
in
the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he
seeth the light of this world.
answered <JOH12 -23> And Jesus {answered} them, saying, The hour
is
come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
answered <JOH12 -30> Jesus {answered} and said, This voice came
not
because of me, but for your sakes.
answered <JOH12 -34> The people {answered} him, We have heard
out of
the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The
Son
of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?
answered <JOH13 -7> Jesus {answered} and said unto him, What I do
thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
answered <JOH13 -8> Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash
my
feet. Jesus {answered} him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part
with me.
answered <JOH13 -26> Jesus {answered}, He it is, to whom I shall
give a sop, when I have dipped it]. And when he had dipped the
sop,
he gave it] to Judas Iscariot, the son] of Simon.
answered <JOH13 -36> Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither
goest
thou? Jesus {answered} him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow
me
now; but thou shalt follow me afterwards.
answered <JOH13 -38> Jesus {answered} him, Wilt thou lay down thy
life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall
not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice.
answered <JOH14 -23> Jesus {answered} and said unto him, If a man
love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and
we
will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
answered <JOH16 -31> Jesus {answered} them, Do ye now believe?
answered <JOH18 -5> They {answered} him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus
saith unto them, I am he]. And Judas also, which betrayed him,
stood
with them.
answered <JOH18 -8> Jesus {answered}, I have told you that I am
he]:
if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:
answered <JOH18 -20> Jesus {answered} him, I spake openly to the
world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither
the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.
answered <JOH18 -23> Jesus {answered} him, If I have spoken evil,
bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me?
answered <JOH18 -30> They {answered} and said unto him, If he
were
not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee.
answered <JOH18 -34> Jesus {answered} him, Sayest thou this
thing of
thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?
answered <JOH18 -35> Pilate {answered}, Am I a Jew? Thine own
nation
and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou
done?
answered <JOH18 -36> Jesus {answered}, My kingdom is not of this
world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants
fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my
kingdom not from hence.
answered <JOH18 -37> Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a
king
then? Jesus {answered}, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end

bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of th
e truth heareth my voice.
answered <JOH19 -7> The Jews {answered} him, We have a law, and

our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.
answered <JOH19 -11> Jesus {answered}, Thou couldest have no
power

answered <JOH19 -15> But they cried out, Away with him], away
with
him], crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your

any meat? They {answered} him, No.
answered <ACT3 -12> And when Peter saw it], he {answered} unto
the
people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye
so

made
this man to walk?
answered <ACT4 -19> But Peter and John {answered} and said unto
them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you

answered <ACT8 -37> And Philip said, If thou believest with all
thine heart, thou mayest. And he {answered} and said, I believe
that
Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
answered <ACT9 -13> Then Ananias {answered}, Lord, I have heard
by
many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at
Jerusalem:
answered <ACT10 -46> For they heard them speak with tongues, and
magnify God. Then {answered} Peter,
answered <ACT11 -9> But the voice {answered} me again from
heaven,
What God hath cleansed, that] call not thou common.
answered <ACT15 -13> And after they had held their peace, James
{answered}, saying, Men and] brethren, hearken unto me:
answered <ACT19 -15> And the evil spirit {answered} and said,
Jesus
I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
answered <ACT21 -13> Then Paul {answered}, What mean ye to weep
and
to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but
also
to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.
answered <ACT22 -8> And I {answered}, Who art thou, Lord? And he
said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.
answered <ACT22 -28> And the chief captain {answered}, With a
great
sum obtained I this freedom. And Paul said, But I was free] born.

beckoned
unto him to speak, {answered}, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast
been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more

against

be judged of these things before me?
answered <ACT25 -12> Then Festus, when he had conferred with the

answered <ACT25 -16> To whom I {answered}, It is not the manner

answer
for himself concerning the crime laid against him.
answered <ACT26 -1> Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art

they?
